How about two soccer teams sharing a stadium in NY?

Barca president Joan Laporta, running for re-election at the time, had told me that they might buy an MLS club, but that they would only do it if they could share a stadium like Chivas USA shares the Home Depot Center with the L.A. Galaxy. And he specifically loved the idea of putting a second club in New York, which of course Garber has been a proponent of.

"We're exploring it; it's an option,'' Laporta had said at the time. Barcelona's international business director Javier Munoa told me as much at the time, specifying that the stadium was a deal-breaker.

"For us, it's hard to absorb the cost of a franchise and building a complete stadium," Munoa told me. "If we do something, it will be under this premise. We cannot do like the Red Bulls have done, buy a $100 million investment.

I dunno. So they would share the Red Bulls stadium in Jersey? The main complaint from New Yorkers is that they don't have a more local stadium. They say the reason that Red Bull has trouble getting supporters is because of stadium location. I don't think two teams would survive.

Honestly I have no idea what's going on. The original rumor was that Red Bull was looking to sell the team, and then that Barca was trying to buy it from them, and now Barca wants a second NY team to share RBA.

But there's a couple problems - Barca's president is up for reelection next year and that's usually decided by who can deliver the best players for the lowest price. They only made a profit of 8mil Euro last year, and there's no reason to think they will spend $40mil for an expansion franchise in America, while Madrid is in the second Galactico era. The original FCB/Marcelo Claure deal in Miami fell apart because Barca wanted naming rights and no real financial backing. There is also the issue of why teams moved to SSS in the first place - control of rights. There's no reason to think RB wouldn't hold FCB to the same kind of scheduling limitations they currently face in Giants Stadium.

And to answer your question, Harrison is on the PATH train and RBA can be accessed by the rest of the city:

Of course, a New York fan would be better able to describe this, but I don't think there are any on here.

RBA is very accessable by mass transit. In fact it was intended to be primarily accessed by bus and train service. There will be very limited parking for the stadium. I think I read somewhere that there is only parking for something like 35% of capacity.
