Meh. Griz were a fumble through the end zone from a 35-6 lead with 8 minutes to play. Two TD’s in prevent time don’t mean shit.
There's two schools of thought on that, AZ. That game does call into question the Griz' ability to close out games. Sure, you MIGHT still win pulling that against a bottom-feeder like the Bungles. But do that against an upper tier BSC team like Sac or BBQ or an upper tier MVFC team like NDSU or SDSU, and you're going to be on the wrong side of that score....
SuperHornet's Athletics Hall of Fame includes Jacksonville State kicker Ashley Martin, the first girl to score in a Division I football game. She kicked 3 PATs in a 2001 game for J-State.

Pretty positive we won't be playing our scrubs up 28-6 against those teams when it matters.

True. But you gotta be careful. One more goof-up against ID State, and the Griz would have NO shot at the playoffs. Of course, that didn't happen....

You're right, there's definitely not a drop off at all between Johnson and Brown.
Edit: To be fair, I did see we had replacement LBs in and assumed the defense was subbed out, but it looks like they were the only two.
Point is, against Sac/Weber, I'm pretty sure Hauck doesn't pull Johnson on that last drive and let Brown throw the worst pass of the game on 4th down.
Point is, up 28-6 with 7 minutes left, you’re playing a prevent. Plus, Bobby pulled LJ because of the fumble. If he wasn’t sure that game was over that doesn’t happen.

That's my point. He's not pulling LJ against better teams after a fumble.
