Early Projections...
SuperHornet's Athletics Hall of Fame includes Jacksonville State kicker Ashley Martin, the first girl to score in a Division I football game. She kicked 3 PATs in a 2001 game for J-State.
Re: Early Projections...
They project NDSU to get the valley auto?
They are then also projecting SDSU to lost 2 of their final 3 because that’s the only way that can happen as of today.
SDSU has Indiana State, UNI and Illinois State left. They aren’t losing 2 of those. Hell, they aren’t losing 1 of those to create a tiebreaker situation.

Re: Early Projections...
It doesn't say that at all, clenz. The article specifically states that SDSU has the H2H over NDSU and they're not likely to give it up. The only team who can even possibly take the auto-bid from SD State is S. Illinois...at least as of last Wed.

Dal: Technically speaking, the NCAA hasn't shut the door on any of these guys. The Ivy is only out because of their own hypocritical attitudes about the ability of FOOTBALL athletes to compete in final exams in the midst of playoffs while they have no such qualms about the abilities of BASKETBALL athletes. The SWAC/MEAC have likewise turned down auto-bids for those teams that qualify for the purpose of the Celebration Bowl, but as FAMU proved a couple of years ago, a ranked second-place HBCU can, indeed, take an at-large bid. They haven't always done well when they have it, but I wonder if a deal could be made to allow Jackson State to take the SWAC auto-bid that's generally laid dormant the last few years, and allow the second-place team to take the league spot in the Celebration Bowl. If the way things have gone the last few years in HBCU-land, a second-place SWAC team could easily take the MEAC Champ in the Celebration Bowl. Would you agree with that assessment, dal? If that were to happen, I would fully expect Jackson to make some noise in the playoffs....

I hope you are right everyone thought JSU was going to have a cakewalk in the Celebration Bowl but look what happened vs South Carolina St and they barely defeated Campbell University yesterday.I want to see how good Deion is as a HEAD COACH in the playoffs.SuperHornet wrote: ↑Sun Oct 23, 2022 2:55 pm Dal: Technically speaking, the NCAA hasn't shut the door on any of these guys.
