This happened last year, too. Why in the heck would ANYONE enter the portal just as their current team is entering the playoffs? They're immediately off the roster at that point, and it doesn't even save a season of eligibility. Dumb. Why not just play out the string, THEN enter the portal in mid-January? Is there a coach-player relationship going on?

I mean, if you're dead set on leaving, playing more doesn't make a lot of sense. It's tough to get a scholarship at another school if you're injured.

Sounds like the 3 Bison that announced earlier, are currently roommates.

Well, the portal closes for FCS on January 4, 2023. It is open for 45 days from the end of the season (Nov. 19).

Former SoDak QB Carson Camp is going to Sac State.

He had a solid year in 2021 (including the hail mary against SDSU), but he sucked this year and got benched. I was not at all impressed by what I saw of him against the Griz—constant overthrows, holding onto the ball too long, etc.

While I dearly love Danny White, I'm absolutely sick of the way the transfer portal is turning college football into a joke. SMH....

JMU has tendered over 30 offers on the portal, with at least a doz to FCS players. So far 8 commits, 2 P5 (both QBs), 2 G5, and 4 FCS. 3 of the 4 FCS were Fr AA, 2 in 2019, and one this past season.

-StFU WR Elijah Sarratt. A 2022 freshman FCS AA with 13 receiving TDs, which tied for fifth in the FCS & led freshmen by four. Younger brother of JMU starting FS Josh Sarratt.

No clue. He didn't exactly wow on the field this year, so I'd be surprised if there were a ton of FBS schools lined up to get him, but I could see UNLV or Nevada taking a shot.

My honest guess is he'll end up at another FCS school or go the JUCO route.

JuCo's aren't part of the NCAA, so I doubt it.

I'm not sure you have to go the portal route anyway if you're grad transferring or transferring down. The only thing I'm sure you have to enter the portal for is to be able to transfer to an equal/higher level without sitting out.
