I believe Rand Paul went to Russia for a variety of reasons and I'm not a fan of what I know about that trip.

I believe Bernie formally went to the USSR to establish a sister city relationship but informally went to praise the Soviet model and speak ill of the US and capitalism. By itself, it isn't enough to show Bernie is a socialist/Marxist but combined with his other statements is more damning than anything you or another illiberal has offered that trump is a fascist.

It's going to be pretty close if they both live to the election. GOP has a pretty decided advantage in the Senate races so that could flip. Won't be big swings anymore in House elections as both blue and red states are decidedly gerrymandered to cut off losses. Looks to be a cluster for the foreseeable future.
