Since I live in Macon GA, I'll tell you.
He grew up in an unincorporated part of Bibb County 10-15 miles south of Macon. Pretty much right between Warner Robins and Macon. The county and city governments consolidated in 2010, so every point in Bibb County is now considered Macon. When Aldean lived here, it wasn't.

BTW, to correct your redneck friend, no Macon does not have a Target. They left town 5-6 years ago due to the crime.
