“Man cannot change” is a grossly enabling philosophical mistake.SeattleGriz wrote: ↑Fri Dec 22, 2023 10:50 amIt's quite obvious man has tried to subvert Gods Word for their ambitions. Kenneth Copeland is a prime example. You ever see the movie, "Book of Eli"? It's a good peek into how people would try to abuse the Word.UNI88 wrote: ↑Sun Dec 17, 2023 4:32 pm
Debating SeattleGollum is like debating a toddler - when you see/read something you disagree with you cover your ears and go la, la, la ...
I think you and I would both agree that humankind is imperfect and is prone to being prideful, selfish, greedy, ambitious, etc.
Try as you might; you can't deny that these imperfections have led to corruption in the Christian church and that the examples I listed are not exhaustive.
Now the question in a nutshell - how can you be certain that selfish, and greedy individuals haven't subverted God's word to further their ambitions?
If you can't respond intelligently to that question, please take a seat on the bench and hope that Joe can weigh in.
I'll refer you again to Paul and how he was continuously telling the churches of the day that they kept missing the message. They kept trying to practice the law when those requirements were no longer needed.
Regardless, the main point, that man cannot change, is that if you accept Christ, you are saved.
Now, are you going to finally answer the question as to what you believe?
Change is undefeated throughout the universe including man’s ability to do both right and wrong.
Change is universal.
