I'm not supporting him. This situation should definitely be investigated and he should be charged if appropriate. Just because the charges against (a less-than-ethical former president) were brought by a potentially less-than-ethical DA doesn't mean those charges are automatically invalid. There is plenty of proof there and the trial should continue regardless of who the chief prosecutor is.

I'm capable of being objectively critical of trump and his opponents.

That's not what you constantly insinuate. You bitch about judges who are Democrats or appointed by Democrats as if they' can't be impartial and rule based on the law. That's a weak approach that the left could apply to judges who are Republican or appointed by Republicans. They could argue that Thomas and Alito follow ideology more than the law when ruling.

I did listen to the call and there was nothing there. Trump was informed there were more than double the victory margin in illegal ballots. He asked for those votes, but at the expense of not counting the obviously invalid votes.

Have you looked at the election report that was released two weeks ago outlining all the issues? Amazingly quiet by those who've been identified as allowing the invalid votes to be counted. You'd think they'd want to contest the report with facts, but haven't.

All these reminders are so pressing and sharp; the sheer neediness of his posts, the ugly void of his cruelty towards women, and the crudely fascist threats are a preview of the campaign to come, and the future he promises.

The central target of his ire — and bear with me here, but it’s almost as if Donald Trump hates women — was of course E. Jean Carroll, whose continued litigation with Trump has led to judicial proof of what was intuitively evident but unconfirmed for so long; he’s a sexual abuser and rapist.

When I wrote my first book, a part left on the research and editing floor dealt with stories of women “Laid, paid, and NDAed.” Some of the conversations and leads I had contained vague hints he was ugly to women in many ways, but the fear of Trump kept damn near everyone silent.
