You live in a oasis
I don’t live in Norway (soccer field pic) or any of those other country’s that spend less than half of what we spend per capita on healthcare WITH equal to if not better outcomes.

But I DO indeed live in the great socialist state of Washington which also borders on British Columbia and Oregon.
And the US taxpayers subsidizes their social safety nets by paying for their defense. And when Trump raises objections to that, the neocons and the left loses their shit.

Meh. It’s all a choice…for them and us. Honoring treatise, how much we spend.

And we still spend more per capita for worse outcomes. Our system is broken. I just received pre-authorization for Xifaxin. That made it only $1300/month versus $3900. I then used a manufacturers coupon which made it free. I have to read the fine print to see if it’s a one time deal or if I can still receive discounts through the manufacturer. If not, I will be ordering from overseas where the shipping will cost more than the med as it’s an old drug but has no generic.

You’re defending monopolistic practices. Capitalism hater.

Not if you only compare the segment of the population that has decent insurance.

Also in those other countries you’d have longer wait periods, or would be paying for better care & shorter wait periods.

And guess which counry develops far more meds and has the most medical breakthroughs compared to other countries?

And your cost would go drastically down with:
-Tort reform
-Not having to pay for indigents and illegals (a significant portion of your bill).

And guess which country ranks 25th out of 29 developed nations for infant mortality. :coffee:

the US leads in the discovery of approved drugs, by a wide margin (118 out of the 252 drugs). Then Japan, the UK and Germany are about equal, in the low 20s each. Switzerland is in next at 13, France at 12, and then the rest of Europe put together adds up to 29.

And since those countries are overwhelming white (or as the left likes to refer to Asians as ‘white adjacent’ since you included Jaoan) do the conparison for whites & Asians in the the US to those countries. Apples to Apples.

Sorry, the facts are plain as day - sure Big Pharma makes billions but that doesn't obviously have much impact on health of a poulation given the US ranks near the bottom of developed nations in infant mortality and life expectancy despite spending more than double the average amount spent on healthcare by other advanced nations. You can cry until your eyes fall out but still its true. :coffee:

And as far as life expectancy, unlike other developed countries, 1/2 the US population are lard buckets. Fat asses drive down life expectancy. Best health care in the world can’t overcome that.

We keep wondering why these young people are not coming home to the Democrats,” Carville said. “Why are Blacks not coming home to the Democrats? Because Democrat messaging is full of shit, that’s why!”

He added, “talk about cost of living, and ‘we’re going to help deal with this.’ Don’t talk about fucking Gaza and student loans!”

Carville went on to cite a recent Harvard/Harris poll — which found three of the five issues Americans care most about are economy-related, while the Israel-Hamas conflict placed 13th. He went on to trash President Joe Biden’s recent $7.7 billion student debt forgiveness package.

“Why are we forgiving student loans for people that go to Harvard?” Carville said. “Which — according to Scott Galloway, quite accurately, is nothing but a hedge fund that has classrooms — well, they got a $52 billion fucking surplus! Why are taxpayers gonna bail these people out?!”….

They don’t have chips and video games in other countries? I see a whole hell of a lot of adults consuming a lot of crap too. Especially processed food, fatty meats, sugar, and booze. I used to be one of those.

Adjust for race? How do you do that? Compare US rates to those of sub-Saharan Africa? The nation's developement is a bigger factor and African-Americans average about 25% white so your comparison is already confounded.

Tell me you don't understand libertarianism without telling me you don't understand libertarianism.

A Libertarian candidate appeals to fiscal conservatives who want small government and a balanced budget.

Libertarians believe in the freedom of individuals and companies whether that applies to being transgender, vaccine mandates, or open borders.

I'm a small L libertarian because I don't agree with everything they support (like open borders) but I respect their principled consistency. They don't just give lip service to individual and organizational freedom like trump and his MAQA yahoos. :coffee:

Also you ignored the part of where he supported the Obamacare GOVT MANDATED healthcare.

:coffee:
This is a Libertarian? Yuck

Should of just nominated Kathy La Bruja Hoetchel,

Both major parties are equally statist now. They just seek to control different aspects of culture and people’s rights.

nonsense, the soccer fields and little league diamonds are full as ever. I watched my kids play at soccer tournaments where there were a thousand kids playing.
Supervised I bet

Best fun was with no parents around and supervised by the streets
