Why is the biden administration intent upon upending the stock market, killing 401(k)s and IRA and forcing people to rely on social security?

Proposals like these are as much of a threat to Americans as Project 2025.

My point lies within your last paragraph. There are people who pay damn good money in campaign donations and receive an ROI on it. Some of them are fine with a nation of renters as long they’re the landlords. That’s the kind of action you’re paying for with legalized bribery. It rules the system. Sellers' agents can't advertise how much of their commission they will split with buyers' agents and if the DoJ had their way they wouldn't even be able to split their commission. What buyers will least likely be able to afford to pay their agent's commission if it isn't part of the sale and can't be included in the mortgage? First-time homebuyers who struggled to come up with the down payment.

How do middle-class Americans build wealth that they can use to retire and pass on to their children? Through equity in their home and investments in the market?

Wisconsin GOP leader says Trump backers seeking to recall him don’t have enough signatures

Vos is being targeted for recall because he refused to impeach the state’s top elections official or proceed with attempting to decertify President Joe Biden’s 2020 victory in Wisconsin. His actions angered Trump, who accused Vos of covering up election corruption, while Trump’s followers mounted an unsuccessful primary challenge in 2022 and are now trying to force a recall election.

I disagree with a lot of what he does but Vos has been very good at strengthening the Republican party's hold on a purple state. Choosing absolute loyalty to trump over following the law seems foolish and short-sighted.

That could potentially create a scenario in which recall elections or the recall primary, are decided a week before Vos appears on the Aug. 13 primary ballot as a candidate for a new two-year term as speaker starting in January.

In Wisconsin, candidates can be removed if they are defeated in a recall election. Gableman said Tuesday he didn’t know who would run.

No Republican has yet filed to challenge Vos in the primary for the November election.

If he is recalled, Vos would lose his office for the remainder of the year. The Legislature is not scheduled to be in session again until January.

Vos angered Trump and his supporters in Wisconsin by refusing calls to decertify President Joe Biden’s narrow win in the state in 2020. Biden’s win of about 21,000 votes has withstood two partial recounts, numerous lawsuits, an independent audit and a review by a conservative law firm. Vos further angered Trump supporters when he did not back a plan to impeach Meagan Wolfe, the state’s top elections official.

Wolfe has been a target of those who falsely believe Trump won Wisconsin in 2020.

Vos has repeatedly said he was not in favor of impeaching Wolfe because there was not enough support among fellow Republicans to do so. He has said he wants to see Wolfe replaced, but a judge last year blocked the Legislature from taking steps to remove her.

Vos is currently running unopposed for a new term. If that holds, these vindictive idiots are wasting state resources in an attempt to recall him for the remainder of 2024 (during a period of time when the legislature is not even scheduled to meet) before he resumes office in January, 2025.

Love him or hate him, Vos' leadership was instrumental in Republican control of the state legislature. This is an example of cutting off your nose to spite your face.

FAA investigating flight control issues on Southwest Boeing 737 Max

….The FAA confirmed it is looking into a so-called Dutch roll that took place on flight N8825Q on May 25, causing the airline to pull the passenger jet from service and send it back to Boeing for inspection.

Dutch roll refers to potentially dangerous lateral asymmetric movements of an aircraft. The term itself is supposedly derived from the movement of ice skaters.

Pilots on the Southwest Airlines flight saw the plane's tail yaw, a movement up and down on its vertical axis. Pilots also had to contend with tail wag from right to left, while the wings rocked in a side-to-side motion. They were able to recover and make a safe landing in Oakland with no injuries reported.

"[The] aircraft experienced a Dutch roll, regained control and post-flight inspection revealed damage to the standby PCU," the FAA said in its Accident and Incident Notification.

The PCU or Power Control Unit takes input from a pilot's rudder pedals or the aircraft's yaw damper system and directs the flow of hydraulic fluid in order to move the rudder.

FAA investigators will now look at what caused the issue aboard the Boeing 737 Max 8, which remains on the ground at the company's facility in Everett, Wash. Records show the plane was certified to fly in 2022.

The incident adds to a string of mishaps for Boeing after the door plug of a 737 Max 9 blew out midway through an Alaska Airlines flight in January, causing an explosive decompression. Boeing has since paid the airline $160 million in damages. The FAA later banned the company from expanding production of the passenger planes.….
