Good grief
Bojozo and his illegitimate DHS Secretary did away with Trumps border policies on day 1 and everyone saw the disaster that followed but for some reason Joey didn’t toss Trumps Afghan exit plan
Maybe he liked the plan but the poor execution of the plan
is on Biden and nobody else
Biden is a disaster and Harris just might be worse

And she should because she helped a lot with Joeys big mess, she deserves the opportunity to try to clean it up
I don’t think she will be successful

Re: Project 2025: the fascist playbook to take down the USA
There are only 20 listed. So which ones? I've typed them out to make it easier for you to pick them out:
- Complete ban on abortions
- End marriage equality
- Elimination of unions and worker protections
- Defund the FBI & Homeland Security
- Eliminate federal agencies like the FDA, EPA, NOAA and more
- Mass deportation of immigrants and incarceration in "camps"
- End birthright citizenship
- Cut Social Security
- Cut Medicare
- Eliminate the Department of Education
- Teach Christian religious beliefs in public schools
- Use public, taxpayer money for private, religious schools
- End the Affordable Care Act
- Ban contraceptives
- Additional tax breaks for corporations and the 1%
- End civil rights and DEI protections in government
- Ban African American and gender studies in all levels of education
- End climate protections
- Increase Artic drilling
- Deregulate big business and the oil industry
I took a stab at guessing which ones. They're bolded and I count 16. Abortion/contraceptives and religion in schools aren't hot button issues for you so those are the ones I dropped. How'd I do?

#2. Wrong. Fake News.

#3. Part wrong. I would ban public sector unions, not private.
#4. Wrong, but would have a major house cleaning of SES level at DHS & FBI.
#5. Right. ‘The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.’
#6. Right. Deport, deport, deport.
#7. Right. The 14th Amendment ratified after the Civil War was clearly meant to deal with freed slaves, not illegal immigrants.
#8. Wrong, but I wouldn’t do anything to fix it. Certainly not higher taxes.
#9. Wrong.
#10. Right. Dept of Education would be the 1st fed dept woukd eliminate. Education is a completely local and state matter.
#11-#12. Right on the religion stuff in schools.
#13. Right would end Obamacare, but not until had a plan to replace.
#14. Right. Wouldn’t ban contraceptives.
#15. Wrong. But I would implement a flat tax. Pick your standard deduction, child deduction, and percent. No other deductions or exemptions. Everyone does their taxes on a postcard. Easy peasy.

Points where BDK and I agree where it might not have been expected:
- #1. I agree that partial birth abortions should be banned but disagree on no taxpayer funding for one targeted type of healthcare. Parental notification is good as long as there is a process for exceptions such as potential incest or parents are religious zealots.
- #2. Not so much an agreement, but thanks for the information. I do try to read and learn from wide variety of sources and I’m smarter as a result of the link provided by BDK.
- #3. I would also ban public sector unions but not private.
- #4. I think a lot of federal departments could use a good house cleaning. I don’t think that house cleaning should include replacing experts with partisans beholden to the President (regardless of party).
- #10. I wouldn’t eliminate the Dept of Education but I think it needs to be shrunk. Education should primarily be a local and state matter.
- #13. Obamacare is a Frankenstein solution and it could be so much better. I used the marketplace and it is beneficial and I don't think the costs to tax payers are prohibitive based on the benefit.
- #15. The devil is in the details but I’m not opposed to a flat tax. Taxes absolutely should be simplified.
- #5. BDK's argument is valid and should be considered. The FDA, EPA, etc. have done a lot of good. Eliminating them would negatively impact lifespans and quality of life. I do believe that bureaucratic attempts to grow their mandate/power should be stopped.
- #6. The border needs to be secured and we need a humane plan for deporting illegal immigrants as well as a plan for future immigration.
- #7. BDK’s argument isn’t very originalist. The 2nd amendment clearly wasn’t meant to deal with weaponry that the Founders couldn’t even imagine. Don’t like the 14th then amend the Constitution or STFU.
- #8. Doing nothing will eventually kill Social Security and that should be a conscious decision not just allowed to happen. We need to educate all the gullible people who think that they paid for all the benefits they’re receiving or expect to receive (what they paid in plus interest earned isn’t enough to cover what they’ll receive even with people dying before collecting leading to what is essentially a government sponsored Ponzi scheme). SS needs to be reformed or benefits cut. I’m on record as wanting to give people some control over how their contributions are invested and allow survivors access to the benefits.
- #16. I think DEI is a good thing that can be taken too far. This country became great not because it was founded by white Europeans but because it was settled by immigrants willing to work their ass off and take risks to better their lives. We also mistreated some groups of people for hundreds of years. Making everything equal from this point forward doesn't make up for fact that they're coming up the plate with 2 strikes (poor home environment, limited access to a quality education, no generational wealth, etc.) while others are starting on 1st, 2nd or 3rd base (good home life, access to a quality education and funds to get started in life). America is the Land of Opportunity and we need to strive for equal opportunities (not equal outcomes).
- #17. If states are going to ban African American and gender studies then they need to ban Western European studies for the same reason. As Billie Jean said "fair is fair".

#6. Yes the border needs to be secured. But after closing the barn door that was left open you still need to round up the animals. The # of illegals is MASSIVE (I’m including anyone who crossed into the US illegally or has overstayed their Visa) Even the govt’s CBP/ICE #s admit 10+ million illegal entry ‘encounters’ under Biden, + several million estimated gotaways). Total in the US now 20 million? 30 million? No one really knows. There would have to be a massive deportation undertaken to shrink the #s. to just a few years ago.
#7 SCOTUS has never specifically ruled on birthright citizenship for someone born to parents who entered the US illegally or had been ordered deported. The most often cited case that the SCOTUS has confirmed birthright citizenship for ANYONE born on US soil (other than the diplomat/foreign service not subject to the jurisdiction of the US thingy) is US v. Wong Kim Ark. The Chinese parents hadn’t evetered the US illegally, nor had they been ordered deported. But I’ll assume it will never be ruled otherwise that anyone born on US soil (other than the diplomat thingy) is a USC period, and its amend the Constitution or STFU. Steps to discourage birthright tourism and having anchor babies could still be implemented:
-Make it a priority to deport illegal immigrants and anyone who isn’t a permanent resident who gives birth on US soil with a permanent ban on any type of legalization/green card. Deporting the parents isn’t deporting the child. They can choose to take the USC child with them the child can return on their own after 18. Course they could leave the child in the US with a legal guardian who is a USC or legal resident. Could also ban the child from being able to sponsor any family members in the future. People shouldn’t be rewarded by the whole family gets to stay because they had an anchor baby.
#8 Doing nothing won’t eventually kill SS. $$ being paid out would be capped at $$ being paid in since the trust fund isn’t allowed to run a deficit. But that’s not killing the program. It would still exist with people getting less.
I agree its a Ponzi scheme
I agree people should have some control over their own $$ that is paid into the system.
The one thing I don’t want is to pay even more taxes into this Ponzi scheme (12.4% employer/employee or self employed). And if the cap were removed, and I were fortunate to make more than the cap, I don’t want to see the tax cap removed but not the benefits cap. Told I have to pay more in, but don’t receive the increased benefit out, in order to pay for the bennies of those who make less $$. That would be nothing more than a socialist redistribution of wealth. When SS was started the avg life expectancy was like 62. Now its like 78, but the full retirement has only gone from 65 to 67. I’d be amenable to keeping early at 62, moving full to 70 for those now below say 50. But just like when they raised it from 65 to 67, need to give people a 15 year or so heads up and a phase in. If you want to call that cutting SS so be it, so my ‘wrong’ on cutting SS could be labeled a ‘right’.
#16 DEI isn’t a good thing because it seeks equal outcomes (ie the Equity in DEI) Its also just another version of affirmative action. Its treating people differently by skin color. For example for blacks it doesn’t differentiate betwen those who had ancestors who were slaves versus those who’s ancestors came after slavery during Jim Crow verus those who’s ancestors came after Jim Crow, and more recent arrivals. It doesn’t deal well with percentages (multiracial). For whites it doesn’t differentiate between those who grew up poor in single parent apartments vs those who grew up in 2 parent middle/upper middle class. It discriminates against Asians. If you’re a white straight male in your 90s, 80s, 70s, 60s yeah you had advantages growing up in admissions, hiring, good ol boy network, etc. For Gen X not as much. I don’t believe so anymore for Gen Y and Z.
#17 states’ rights. If they want to ban Western European then so be it. Let each state set their own curriculum.

Now that Trump is POTUS we can now finally talk about how he'll implement P2025. So glad everyone made shit up about Trump not using it. Libs fell for it.

Cool after they’ve taken care of the genetically inferior gays, immigrants and their defenders, they’ll come for the neurodivergent (the people BobsKKKat affectionately calls retards).SeattleGriz wrote:Now that Trump is POTUS we can now finally talk about how he'll implement P2025. Re: The P 2025 Magathread
Reading through the fine print, I now see that I get to travel to the US Mexico border and personally get to grab an immigrant by the back of his shirt and pants and toss him across the border! Thank you P2025!
I am so glad we snuck this under the electorate's nose.
I might even go for tossing more than one.
Take that, Jose! You too, Hose B!

That’s the thing, should we take Donnie at his word or accept the equivalent of a 14 year old troll president or, according to MAGA when they’re questioned, is just bullshitting about everything?

Re: The P 2025 Magathread
How about you inform yourself and listen to one of the actual authors. P2025 has been around for something like 30+ years. It's the yearly work of the Heritage foundation. Why weren't you worried about P2020 or P2016 or P2012?kalm wrote: ↑Wed Nov 06, 2024 8:23 pmBannon and Matt Walsh seem to think it’s going to happen.SeattleGriz wrote: ↑Wed Nov 06, 2024 8:30 am Now that Trump is POTUS we can now finally talk about how he'll implement P2025. It's the flavor du jour for liberals to bitch about because they're stupid and listen to even more stupid people like Joy Reid, who's still angry she couldn't pull off Trump's hairdo.

When was the Mandate for Leadership: The Conservative Promise published?SeattleDingleberry wrote: ↑Wed Nov 06, 2024 8:27 pmHow about you inform yourself and listen to one of the actual authors. Are you arguing that no trump won't implement any parts of Project 2025?

Did I fucking say that? No. P2025 is the Heritage Foundations wettest dream. Trump may have policies similar or equal, but to say he's using it as a playbook is asinine.UNI88 wrote: ↑Wed Nov 06, 2024 8:29 pmWhen was the Mandate for Leadership: The Conservative Promise published?SeattleDingleberry wrote: ↑Wed Nov 06, 2024 8:27 pm

For example, look at Cavanaugh and Barrett. Both were supposedly vetted by some ultra conservative group and look at them. Center right and milquetoast. Same thing with this P2025. All bullshit wringing of hands, clutching pearls and jack shit is gonna happen.

I hope you're right but I won't hold my breath. His comments as the keynote speaker at the Heritage Foundation in 2022 justify my concern.
Project 2025 is an attack on the Constitution and America.

We had a far more sane and less illiberal Republican Party back then.
