And there are many people who think all natural remedies are superior to modern medicine. Even when it comes to deadly illnesses. It becomes a movement searching for a natural miracle cure when none exists. That’s also looking for the lazy route.
Or those who rely exclusively on their PCP for things like diet vs supplements or pharmacological treatments when most doctors have an abysmally brief amount of training in either.
A nutritionist/dietician is far superior when it comes to dietary nutrition and balance. Every prescribing doctor has a Pharm D backing them up to check for mistakes and best solutions. (Side note…everyone should have a nutritionist on their medical team.)
The key is to be simultaneously open minded AND skeptical towards both.
The key, is to not trust anyone without doing some research and then actually making life changing efforts so you don't get forced into some bullshit.
Nutritionist/dietician puhleaze. You need to do a little research on that topic bro.
Re-read my last time and see if this helps. Then you might not need to repeat it and agree with me. Let me know if you need help with eating right.
I know your family’s history so I would hesitate to doubt your knowledge. You also know mine. Let me know and I can send you my current list of 16 meds and supplements as well as well as the over a dozen diagnosed conditions I have. I’ve done the deep dive and made the life changing efforts. I wouldn’t be here today if I hadn’t and I will have to remain just as vigilant through the end of my life.
I also don’t reject educated and certified expert’s advice out of some overly enthusiastic sense of autodidactism. I know quite a bit about cirrhosis, SMV clotting, blood disease, having 3 herniated cervical discs, and yes nutrition. Modern medicine with its actual doctors and specialists has its place too and the good ones (which my nutritionist is) are simply another important arrow in the quiver.
But by all means, carry on.
