Don't look now, the new weaker Trudeau in Canada is going all in on crypto.
KKKalm is gonna be in a serious quandary now:
Trump loves crypto = Orange man bad
Carney loves crypto = Commie Canada is better than the US AND they have "free" healthcare so Carney is goodish
Canada hates America = KKKalm loves Canada and Carney
Orangeman still bad

Yesterday I sold one of my extra trucks.
Every penny of that is going into crypto tomorrow or Thursday when the stock market crashes.

Re: Crypto
Trump is just doing, out in the open, what all politicians in Washington have been doing for the past decades - using their office to make themselves richer. Crypto isn't even anything real, it's just a bet. He holds so many of a certain kind at one price point, publicly, as President, touts it, it shoots up in price, and then he sells it, pocketing a pretty profit. Nothing changes other than his profits. Kind of the simplified version that folks in Congress or past Presidents (i.e. Biden) have done with insider trading.

Re: Crypto
He's also a lot more blatant about selling access/influence. It's similar to hunter selling his paintings for thousands but hunter was only the President's son not the actual President.GannonFan wrote: ↑Thu May 08, 2025 12:29 pmTrump is just doing, out in the open, what all politicians in Washington have been doing for the past decades - using their office to make themselves richer. Should we go back and dig up what CS's MAQA yahoos said about hunter's paintings?

Re: Crypto
Obviously Trump is a horrible business man
His net worth when he was elected was 1.5 billion and I bet after today its over 6 or 7 billion. You guys should call the rockstar crypto president more names and call him orange more often, its obviously working!!! Maybe bring up bankruptcy a few billion more times because maybe then it will be a relevant talking point. (It wont, its a savvy business move to avoid taxes)

Re: Crypto
Has nothing to do with being a good businessman, it just has more to do with him being comfortable to use his political position to line his pockets. LIke I said, he has plenty of company with most of Congress who does a lot of the same stuff but just not as openly as he's doing it. It's morally repugnant but apparently we don't care about those things anymore.Bobcat wrote: ↑Thu May 08, 2025 1:06 pm Obviously Trump is a horrible business man

They have become what they said they hated. Realistically, it was never about corruption, it was about who was profiting from it. They were jealous it wasn't them and now that it is, they're happy and see nothing wrong with it.

Hes a good business man and people are jealous. I hope he makes 200 billion and shits in their face. Trump has made me more money since he was elected than I had cumulatively made in my entire life. Its unreal the returns, generational wealth

Rigged gambling is a great gig if you can get it. As I said, politicians have been doing this a lot more lately, just not as brazenly in the open as Trump is doing. It's largely why Congress has been missing in action over the past 20 years - too busy getting rich through the public offices they hold. We used to have politicians that were above this sort of rank money grab, but we don't elect enough of those types any more.

Sounds like you're ready to move up to a double-wide on some bottom land! Congratulations!
Trump has to be disappointed that all this wealth he's obtaining while Stephen Miller runs the country is falling on him when he has maybe five years left - love to be a fly on the wall at probate. I bet Kushners get it all and Beavis and Butthead wind up schlepping for Jared.

We used to have a Congress full of combat veterans on both sides of the aisle who would have taken Trump out back and kicked the living shit out of him.GannonFan wrote: ↑Fri May 09, 2025 6:44 amRigged gambling is a great gig if you can get it.
