By hassling me over something that I've done at the same bank for 15 yrs.? Just for your own information AZ in the place you run, that ain't deppening the relationship that's weakening. If you really want to deepen the relationship and make sure I am who I say I am then stop playing around and let me a leave a DNA sample on the juggy tellers titty's. I'd be happy to do it.

Asking once or twice isn't a problem. Ask repeatedly and it gets really annoying to the customer. It tells them that you don't don't remember the last time they were in and that you don't really know who the he!! they are. The problem is that some bozo at corporate read the latest soup of the day Marketing book that told them that cross-selling is the key to success and that they need to reward their employees for pushing their other products and they went out and implemented the new "marketing" program without putting in common sense guidelines or having the systems in place to be able to know when they've already made the pitch.AZGrizFan wrote:They're just trying to deepen their member relationship with you and make a living. I am in there a minimum of 3-4 times a week and I never had a problem with them up until the last year when they closed the old branch and opened a new one a few blocks away. Now it's like pulling teeth to get MY MONEY out of the bank. I also am an employee of a company that banks with them and go in to cash a paycheck every couple of weeks to cash it and get hassled because I don't open a personal account with them. I don't feel like opening a personal account as I already have a long standing business account but when somebody gives me a check in lieu of services and go in with the proper ID to cash the **** I don't need to be hassled about opening another account with them. I'm getting sick of the ****.![]()

Credit unions are not-for-profit. Would you rather they buy those very expensive "systems" (hundreds of thousands of dollars) and raise your loan rates and lower deposit rates to compensate? It's a no-win situation and a tightrope that we evil executives must walk daily. My credit union has 26,000 members and my branch managers recognize about 70% of them by NAME when they walk in the door. If you use your credit union routinely, it's a poor member service rep that doesn't remember your name. If you go in once a month, you're asking for a fucking miracle.UNI88 wrote:Asking once or twice isn't a problem. Ask repeatedly and it gets really annoying to the customer. I understand where you're coming from and don't disagree with your last point. As someone with experience in management, not-for-profits and technology I also know that in many instance you can get by without very expensive systems by using common sense and finding ways to maximize the systems you already have or finding less expensive alternatives. If your technology people aren't helping you do this than they might not providing the best in consulting services.AZGrizFan wrote:Credit unions are not-for-profit. Re: No Thumbprint, No Money...Bank Tells Armless Man
I have no management experience in banking or credit unions, so I won't presume to tell Tom or any other banker/credit union manager how to do his/her job.
But...It seems to me that the purpose of obtaining thumbprints is for identification. I would think that having no arms and 2 photo ID's would be a reasonable substitute for thumbprints, but that is just my uninformed opinion.

Re: No Thumbprint, No Money...Bank Tells Armless Man
Maybe this would sound cr@zy, but what's the problem with a freaking toe print in a case like this? I also like BlueHen86's idea. Either way, SOME sort of accommodation has to be made here to prevent one's institution from being slapped with a massive discrimination lawsuit.

SuperHornet's Athletics Hall of Fame includes Jacksonville State kicker Ashley Martin, the first girl to score in a Division I football game. She kicked 3 PATs in a 2001 game for J-State.

No offense UNI...but this statement falls under the category of "DUH!!!" for most of us here.UNI88 wrote: I understand where you're coming from and don't disagree with your last point.
