It's not about giving her or others amnesty. It's about giving her the opportunity to follow the existing process she has already started to become a legal resident. She wasn't hiding, she wasn't a criminal, she is not the "worst of the worst". It's also fair to question the humanity of sending her and other Dreamers back to countries they left as young children.

She and most Dreamers are not who most Americans had in mind when trump said he was going to deport the "worst of the worst".

But when six of his employees — totaling a third of his staff — were detained by Immigration and Customs Enforcement on May 27, Scardina was puzzled.

"You get to know these guys, you become their friends — just not an employer, but a friend — and you see what happens to their family," Scardina told NBC6 of the men, who were Nicaraguan immigrants. "It's… It's quite a shock."

Department of Homeland Security spokesperson Tricia McLaughlin told Newsweek that ICE targeted A-Plus Roofing after receiving a report of Scardina's "employment of illegal aliens."

But Regilucia Smith, an attorney for the detained men, attested to their legal authorization to be in the United States, with five of six of them having pending asylum cases.

"Valid work permit, not even close to be expired … again, no criminal records, not here, not in Nicaragua," she said. "They are legally here. They have an authorization to stay."

Though Smith has filed a motion to have her clients released on bond, she told NBC6 that half of them have already been transferred to detention centers in California and Texas, complicating their return process.

Whether or not Scardina's employees have criminal records, White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt stated in January that the administration was broadening its definition of "criminal" to apply to anyone who came to the U.S. "illegally," which Trump claims also includes many asylum seekers.

In this latest example, we see Illinois Democrat Congressmen Raja Krishnamoorthi and Jonathan Jackson showing up to demand entry into a Chicago ICE facility. They peacock and posture to the representative at the entry point window about how they are so important that they should be given immediate entry, but the man at the window was less than impressed. He professionally informed them that they had no sway, and after repeatedly explaining the specifics, he calmly explained that the police had been called and then closed the window on the duo. It was glorious.

In dutiful fashion, MSNBC had a lengthy segment with Jackson about what he endured, where he provided more video. This one showed the two politicians as they tried to influence another individual at a security fence at the facility, and they were shown the same level of disinterest by the agents. Jackson moaned that they had powers of congressional oversight and complained that they had been told to make arrangements ahead of time in order to tour the facility.

This has been a repeated standard in any of these cases, yet Democrats arrive at ICE locations and demand immediate entry. All staff are supposed to halt any and all activity and bow to the whims of these politicians arriving without notice. Once they are told they have no power, these jesters preen for the cameras about how rudely they were treated and how the agents at these locations do not take a knee and allow unfettered access.

Oh, about those cameras. Is it not the least a bit curious that these episodes are always caught on film, and then the press has either instant stories lined up or at least gets spoon-fed video clips for their immediate reports? In the case of these two Chicago drama queens, the entire intent is exposed when we see a stark dichotomy of the effort made for their visit.

Despite all of the prior instances of Democrats being rebuffed in this fashion and told they need to make prior arrangements, somehow this message never got through to Rep. Kristamoorshi and Rep. Jackson. So neither man was capable of contacting the facility ahead of time. Yet, as we see in this clip, they did manage to have the foresight, the energy, and the time to contact numerous members of the press to notify them of this “surprise” visit.

Somehow a minimum of half a dozen affiliates - including Univision - had been called out, but at no point did it occur to these men to notify the facility officials that they were coming?! That is all that is needed to see this is all nothing but performative theatrics. They want these confrontational episodes on camera because those can then be spun and interpreted as nefarious examples of an authoritarian regime.

For further proof that this is all pre-fab hysterics, we note something else – what we do not see. We never manage to get presented the video follow-up when the politicians eventually gain access inside these locations. We do not get primetime reports or banner headlines about the horrific conditions or barbaric treatment of the immigrants, because we know the outlets would love nothing better than to display such gripping evidence. In other words, the stated goal of these confrontations never manages to get reported. Curious that.

These performers always crow about wanting to get the information about what is taking place inside and how the detainees are treated, yet this never manages to be broadcast. It is only the crude confrontations and accusations of intemperate treatment of our angelic political leaders that gets the news coverage, as the press plays along…

Sure out of tens/hundreds of thousands of people you’ll continue to get the daily drip of stories like these where you’re getting only one side of the story with no rebuttal so you don’t know what positive things being claimed about the illegal is true or embellished, and what negative is being omitted.

Even going by the sympathetic story she:
-Entered illegally in 1998.
-Remained illegally.
-Worked illegally I presume.
-Was ordered deported in 2004 before receiving a TEMPORARY stay of deportation order.
