That's okay. Attempting to overthrow the duly elected government of the United States of America like the seditious rioters did on January 6 more than makes up for it.

And to answer your next nitpick - attempting to prevent the Constitutional transfer of power and assassinate the Vice President of the United States, Speaker if the House and other Congress people is a lot closer to attempting to overthrow the duly elected government (i.e. an insurrection) than anything happening in LA right now.
Except none of that shit happened.
As I stated - attempting to prevent the Constitutional transfer of power (which was one of the goals of the January 6 rioters) is a lot closer to attempting to overthrow the duly elected government (i.e. an insurrection) than anything happening in LA right now.

And what happened on January 6 was 1 billion times more of an attempt to assassinate the Vice President of the United States, Speaker if the House and other Congress people then shells on a beach or calling trump a Nazi/fascist is an a call to assassinate fat donny.

Lol none of that happened. If it had the MAGA haters in the DOJ would have charged people with it.

I don't disagree but it does show you just how little credence there is to the claims that shells on a beach or calling trump a Nazi/fascist are in any way related to attempts to assassinate trump.

1) I agree with Stephen A. Padilla handled that horribly and looked like an ass. ICE Barbe's security overreacted as well so everyone looked foolish.

2) This is the MAQA Squad gaffe and verbal bungles watch thread, and isn't the right place for criticism of Padilla no matter how justified.

Yeah - a gaffe by both sides. Padilla barging into a press conference and interrupting it to shout questions (rather than just waiting for the question and answer part to speak up), and then demanding some privilege as a Senator to do whatever he wants, looks childish and rash. The security folks take their gaffe when, even once Padilla is out of the room and no longer causing issues, decide to go way further, force him to the ground, and handcuff him. Padilla doesn't have much to offer his supporters until he gets handcuffed like that, and really for no reason at that point.

Minuscule attendance? Dude needs to get his eyes checked.

I support the US Army and the US Flag (I wouldn't desecrate the flag by signing it) but combining the Army's birthday celebration with trump's was a mistake and I won't contribute to feeding his narcissism. Parade attendance suffered not because people don't support the Army or want to celebrate it's birthday but because that celebration was tied to trump's birthday as well.

Hegseth says renaming military bases after Civil War soldiers who fought for slavery is ‘important for morale’
“It’s something we’ve been proud to do, something that’s important for the morale of the Army, and those communities appreciate that we’ve returned it back to what it was instead of playing this game of erasing names,” Hegseth said.
...
“Why are you doing this? I don’t understand what the motivation is to rename bases for people who took up arms against their country on behalf of slavery,” he added. “What possible motivation could there be for this? Who is telling you to do this? Who is urging you to do this?”
...
Democratic Sen. Tammy Duckworth, a retired Army National Guard lieutenant colonel, disputed Hegseth’s claim that veterans like her who were deployed from those bases have asked for the names to be returned.

Duckworth, a former helicopter pilot who lost both her legs after her Black Hawk helicopter was hit by a rocket-propelled grenade in Iraq, served Alabama’s Fort Rucker, named after confederate officer Edmund Rucker. The name was changed to honor Medal of Honor recipient Michael J. Novosel in 2023.

“I'd rather be associated with Mike Novosel than a failed confederate traitor,” Duckworth said.
...
Democratic Sen. Tim Kaine of Virginia asked Hegseth how the family of Arthur Gregg — the first African American in the U.S. Army to reach the rank of lieutenant general — reacted to news that the military base honoring his name would be reverted to Fort Lee.

“You didn’t call any of the families,” Kaine said. “The families were called by the press. That’s how they learned about this.”
We're in big trouble if the morale of the troops is dependent on renaming bases after confederates.

How do you square "we’ve returned it back to what it was instead of playing this game of erasing names" with renaming the USNS Harvey Milk?

hegseth is an unqualifed lightweight and coward (a real leader would have called the families) who is in over his head. He blows the Peter Principle out of the water.

He’s a turd and in over his head. These traitors won’t be forgotten by history but they don’t deserve to be honored by shit continuing to be named after them either. Good nations evolve and improve beyond past mistakes, not cling to them for validation.

Pelosi is still deep state 1.0. She profits from the vestiges of her influence.

Who sold before “liberation day”? Who bought before the pause on tariffs?

Who is selling new their own crypto? Gold cell phones? Other merchandise?

They are deep state 2.0.
