Why did they change it from Global Warming to Climate Change? My guess is because it wasn't the 100% Anthropogenic they wanted it to be. At least that was the message projected by the algore camp.

Because they couldn't counter when temperature went down and also to combat their stance from years ago when they were decrying global cooling. Bunch of grifters looking for free grants.

Re: Climate Change Defamation
Climate change, global weirding and similar are more accurate than global warming.
I don't think any rational person believes that climate change is 100% anthropogenic just like no rational person believes that humankind isn't impacting climate.
As Weather Extremes Increase in 2023, Global Weirding Becomes a Better TermBack in the early 2000s, author and environmentalist L. Hunter Lovins coined the term “global weirding” as an alternative to “global warming.” The idea was to describe where Earth was heading with continued emissions of greenhouse gases. The weather extremes of 2023 suggest she was prescient.
Editor's Note: "Global weirding"In 2010, The New York Times’ columnist Thomas Friedman proposed renaming global warming “global weirding.” The idea—that as our planet’s atmosphere warms, we won’t all necessarily get hotter, but that things will get more unpredictable and unreliable for everyone—has proven true in many scary ways.

By 1502, on his final voyage to America, Columbus had learned the danger signs of approaching tropical cyclones, perhaps from Indians. As Columbus stopped for supplies at the harbor of Santa Domingo, the new settlement on Hispaniola, he warned a rival Spanish fleet that a giant storm was approaching. Columbus sheltered his boats in a nearby cove. But the rival fleet ignored his warning and set sail, losing 26 ships and 500 men. Like its predecessor, Santa Domingo was flattened.

Randall Carlson says it best:
Climate change is real—but not in the way they’re telling you.
Earth's climate has always shifted—abruptly, violently, and without warning. To ignore that deep history is to misunderstand the present.
The Paris Accord? It’s not about saving the planet. It’s about wealth transfer under the guise of “climate justice.”

He’s right about the petroleum based infrastructure. It’s a huge chain around our neck.
Large scale alt energy has a lot of catching up to do and efficiencies to be gained. That said, China, Musk, and industries that require stable grids are betting on it. There have also been advancements main in generation and storage where entire Private facilities could be powered off-grid with multiple generators the size of a fridge.

Re: Climate Change Defamation
quickly restored in France, it could take a week to fully restore power in Spain and Portugal.
In an instant, the electric hum of modern life — trains, hospitals, airports, phones, traffic lights, cash registers — fell silent. Tens of millions of people instantly plunged into chaos, confusion, and darkness. People got stuck in elevators. Subways stopped between stations. Gas stations couldn’t pump fuel. Grocery stores couldn’t process payments. Air traffic controllers scrambled as systems failed and planes were diverted. In hospitals, backup generators sputtered on, but in many cases could not meet full demand.
It was one of the largest peacetime blackouts Europe has ever seen. And it was not random. It was not an unforeseeable event. It was the exact failure that many of ushave been, repeatedly, warning lawmakers about for years — warnings that Europe’s political leaders systematically chose to ignore.
While Portugal’s grid operator REN initially blamed the mass blackout on “extreme temperature variations” and a “rare atmospheric phenomenon,” and while some media repeated that framing, the reality is more serious. Weather may have triggered the event, but it was not the cause of the system’s collapse.
Spain’s national grid operator, Red Eléctrica, revealed that the immediate cause of the blackout was a “very strong oscillation in the electrical network” that forced Spain’s grid to disconnect from the broader European system, leading to the collapse of the Iberian Peninsula’s power supply at 12:38 p.m.
“No one has ever attempted a black start on a grid that relies so heavily on renewables as Iberia,” noted
@JKempEnergy “The limited number of thermal generators will make it more challenging to re-establish momentum and frequency control.”
In a traditional power grid dominated by heavy spinning machines — coal plants, gas turbines, nuclear reactors — small disturbances, even from severe weather, are absorbed and smoothed out by the sheer physical inertia of the system. The heavy rotating mass of the generators acts like a shock absorber, resisting rapid changes in frequency and stabilizing the grid.
But in an electricity system dominated by solar panels, wind turbines, and inverters, there is almost no physical inertia. Solar panels produce no mechanical rotation. Most modern wind turbines are electronically decoupled from the grid and provide little stabilizing force. Inverter-based systems, which dominate modern renewable energy grids, are precise but delicate. They follow the frequency of the grid rather than resisting sudden changes....

Grok uses climate change stats to explain Karoline Leavitt’s post about Texas floods
When asked to summarize the post, Grok said Trump was referencing the tragic July 4 flooding event in Texas but then provided some background information on how climate change is making flooding worse.
“Climate models from the IPCC and NOAA suggest that ignoring climate change could intensify such flooding events in Texas, as warmer air holds more moisture, with peer-reviewed studies (e.g., Trenberth et al., 2018) indicating a 7% increase in atmospheric water vapor per 1°C warming, potentially exacerbating future disasters,” Grok summarized.

It might be best to quit politicizing peoples suffering until after the people in Texas have a chance to bury their dead. You can even help ease the situation a bit by contributing to Community Foundation of the Texas Hill Country, or World Central Kitchen. Thanks!

Yeah, the way the left is lying about this tragedy tells you all you need to know about them. We already knew.
My wife and I donated 5 figures to this unfortunate natural disaster. All of it will be stolen and virtually none of our money will go to the people that actually need it.

The Global Climate Scam continues to unravel. Latest research showing no crisis in sea level rise. The corrupt IPCC overestimated (faked it) it by over 100%.
