Kerry is only half right. The Biden admin didn’t miss. The cabal intentionally opened the border wide open.
John Kerry admits Trump was 'right' on border, says he told Biden that Democrats missed on immigration

"The first thing any president should say, any president, or anybody in public life, is, without a border protected, you don't have a nation — I believe that. If you're going to define your nation, you have to have a border that means something," Kerry said during an interview on BBC's "Reflections" podcast. "We have a system. I wish President Biden had been heard more often saying, 'I'm going to enforce the law.'"…

…..BBC correspondent James Naughtie said during the discussion that Trump would likely point at Kerry's remarks and declare he was right about the issue.

"He was right," Kerry responded. "The problem is we all should have been right. Everybody should have been right, doing the same thing, all moving in the same direction."

Hispanic support for Donald Trump's deportations surges
Support for President Donald Trump's deportations has surged among Hispanic voters in the space of two months, according to a new poll.

The survey, conducted by polling firm Cygnal between July 1 and 2, revealed that the percentage of Hispanic voters that strongly support the deportation of people in the United States illegally rose by 11 percent between May and July 2025.

The poll was conducted on 1,500 people and had a margin of error of +/- 2.51 percent.

Quite easily one of the biggest misses the Democratic Party has had in the past decade or so. Completely did not understand how Hispanic voters would feel towards the immigration issue.

Yep. Trump got 48% of the Hispanic vote and a plurality of Hispanic men.

The Democrats are good at getting things wrong.

For one, a lot of hard-working law abiding good members of society Latinos look at the type of Latinos that are crossing the border and are ashamed because they are giving them a bad name

Just look how out of touch Jill Lucifer was when she goes to one of those Latino days or whatever they are called

Hey, but that’s what “the anointed” white liberal elites do

The whole issue around using the term "LatinX" was a great example of a well intentioned, but out of touch, mostly white elite trying to force their view on a whole culture they apparently didn't understand well. You make too many of those missteps and it just costs you at the ballot box.

I agree but you also have to take this poll with a grain of salt based on Cygnal's beginnings and bias toward the right - Cygnal serves GOP campaigns, committees, caucuses and center-right public affairs issue efforts with forward-thinking polling, analytics & targeting.

There are polls from groups that lean the other direction that say differently. Which is more accurate?

My guess is that Latinos support closing the border and deporting criminals who have committed felonies but I'm not sure they'll be on board with deporting farm workers, landscapers, dishwashers and others who are paying their taxes and contributing to our society.

We'll have a better idea after the Virginia elections and in 2026.

the operation is ongoing, and will likely result in "hundreds" of arrests when the dust settles, making it potentially one of the largest single operations we've seen during the Trump administration.

I’m told HSI obtained evidence that Glasshouse Farms is employing illegal aliens. They went to a federal judge, and the judge signed a warrant for them to go in.

We don't have to wait until 2026, we already saw it in 2024 - more than 50% of Hispanic males voted for Trump (women were just under 50%). That's an incredible movement of the electorate over just a few short years. That's already in the books, the Dems absolutely blew it. They advocated open borders (we even had a few posters on these boards declaring that open borders was the fact of the future) and they suffered electorally for that as the majority of the populace didn't believe in that.

As for the future, those are different questions. Sure, it's very possible that Trump's heavy-handedness and scattershot approach to immigration, especially deportations, could cause a backlash that will lose some of that support. But that doesn't change what already happened. The Dems misread the room badly on immigration and it cost them.

Lots of Donks are losing their shit because ICE raided that weed farm and found at least 10 children who were working in the fields. At least eight of them crossed the border as unaccompanied minors.

I guess using trafficked children as slave labor in the fields is cool as long as the crop being cultivated is marijuana. The Donks really do love their weed.

I’ve been questioned by Border Patrol several times when boarding flights from Puerto Rico to the states

They simply ask you what country are you a citizen of? Or where are you from

If you say one thing, but sound like another, you’re gonna get pulled aside for further questioning and the Dominicans stick out like a sore thumb with the accent

I’m guessing border entry even from a US territory is a different situation than detaining someone without probable cause at your local city park or Home Depot.

Child labor is not a topic that trump and MAQA yahoos have the moral high ground on:
- Trump DOL Cuts and State Bills Threaten Child Labor Protections
- Trump cuts 69 global programs tackling child labor and human trafficking
- Project 2025 Would Exploit Child Labor by Allowing Minors To Work in Dangerous Conditions With Fewer Protections
- Trump Wants You, Your Child, And Your Grandchild To Work In Factories Forever

I wonder if the Feds will arrest the farm owners/operators? Have they been arresting other business owners that employ illegal immigrants?

Side question: why are MAQA yahoos such prudes about marijuana? Why does it get your panties in a bunch when alcohol, tobacco, oxy, etc. don't?
