I’ve been questioned by Border Patrol several times when boarding flights from Puerto Rico to the states

They simply ask you what country are you a citizen of? Or where are you from

If you say one thing, but sound like another, you’re gonna get pulled aside for further questioning and the Dominicans stick out like a sore thumb with the accent
I’m guessing border entry even from a US territory is a different situation than detaining someone without probable cause at your local city park or Home Depot.
So racist and know it’s not

They didn’t have probable cause they wouldn’t be at the park or HD

Business owners that employ illegals should sue the federal government for not doing their job and enforcing federal laws.

It makes perfect sense.

Illegal Mexicans hang out at Home Depot so they can get hired paid cash that they can ship home. Hence its probably a good idea if you want to deport criminal law breakers you should hang out at HD.

Do we really need to tell you don't drink the bong water?

Lots of Donks are losing their shit because ICE raided that weed farm and found at least 10 children who were working in the fields. At least eight of them crossed the border as unaccompanied minors.

I guess using trafficked children as slave labor in the fields is cool as long as the crop being cultivated is marijuana. The Donks really do love their weed.
Child labor is not a topic that trump and MAQA yahoos have the moral high ground on:
- Trump DOL Cuts and State Bills Threaten Child Labor Protections
- Trump cuts 69 global programs tackling child labor and human trafficking
- Project 2025 Would Exploit Child Labor by Allowing Minors To Work in Dangerous Conditions With Fewer Protections
- Trump Wants You, Your Child, And Your Grandchild To Work In Factories Forever

Thank you for providing someone else's opinion about something unrelated to the post your quoted...I guess?
I wonder if the Feds will arrest the farm owners/operators? Have they been arresting other business owners that employ illegal immigrants?
Good question. Maybe you should start a thread about it.
Side question: why are MAQA yahoos such prudes about marijuana? Why does it get your panties in a bunch when alcohol, tobacco, oxy, etc. don't?
My panties are in a bunch? I don't care if people smoke weed, etc., but you might wanna check your shorts my friend. You're riding kinda high there.

The topic of whether employers of illegal immigrants should be held responsible is relevant to this thread so no need to start another. The question has been asked, we'll see how it plays out. Will the trump regime hold employers responsible? Give them all a pass? Only hold employers in fields they don't like (marijuana farms for example) accountable? We'll see if they apply justice equally or if they allow their biases to impact it's application.

My boxers are fine but you might want to check your g-string. :D

No one is disputing this. Day workers have been around for years. And many if not most of them are undocumented.

1). They’re being hired by American business owners.

2). We still have a right to due process, probable cost, 4A type stuff. Why should you be detained just for standing out front of a Home Depot or taking your kids to a park?

Papers please is not a good look. This is ‘Murica!

1. I would make the argument that most are being hired by individual home owners.
2. There is a thing called reasonable suspicion, and police have a pretty wide latitude and is given pretty broad discretion in this area.
2.1 Most jurisdictions have ordinances in place where if people are loitering in public places (like a Home Depot), law enforcement has the legal right to ask for identification.

I agree that "papers please" is not a good look. Too bad that energy was nonexistent by so many back during the face masks required/vaccine mandate era.

ICE raids a pot farm that allegedly employing illegal aliens en masse, including children

En masse people who
-Entered illegally
-Remained illegally
-Are working illegally
-Possibly using stolen SS #s
-Employing child labor illegally
-With that # of illegals good chance that have some of the 600k criminal/1.4 million with orders of deportation.
-Growing an illegal substance (federall, fed law trumps state law).

QUNI88: Why are conks prudes about marijuana. :suspicious:

This is why ICE needs to come in HEAVY on these raids. Deadly force is justified when being rocked.

Lying Juan. These were violent criminal illegal aliens, as evidenced by the assaults with deadly weapons on law enforcement (the rock throwers).
