MAGA Dad Reverses Trump Support After He’s Denied Entry to U.S.
Chris Landry, 46, is a Canadian national who has lived in New Hampshire since he was a toddler. He said he has visited his home country annually without issue for decades, but things changed for the worse on Sunday.

That’s when Landry was informed at a Maine border crossing—on his way home from a family vacation with three of his 5 children—that his green card had been revoked and that he would be arrested if he tried to return home without permission.

“I was definitely all for ‘Make America Great Again’ and having a strong, unified country and a bright future for my five American children, but now I feel a little differently,” he told NBC Boston. “I’ve been torn from my family. My life has been disregarded completely.”

Landry was detained for three hours at the port of entry in Houlton, Maine, and was questioned about decades-old charges for marijuana possession and driving under a suspended license. He told NBC Boston that he was convicted of those charges in 2004 and 2007 and paid fines for both. He said that he received a suspended 60-day prison sentence for each charge and has not had any other run-ins with the law.

That did not stop border agents from treating him like a criminal, he said.
...
Landry said he blames the sudden change in his legal status—he has had a green card since 1981—even in the aftermath of his convictions, on the White House. Asked why his misdemeanor convictions had only become a problem decades later, he said, “Because of the new administration and their new policies.”
The party of "family values" strikes again and before anyone trots out hollow answers about criminals and American families - he was legally in the US, has misdemeanor convictions and his wife and kids are American citizens and they're being separated from their father.

Sounds like his green card should have been revoked in 2004-2007.

Assuming this guy is white, proof that CBP/ICE is applying the law equally, and not just targeting brown/black/Asian.

Do misdemeanor convictions cause the automatic revocation of a green card?

Certain misdemeanors like DUI & drug possession can.

Can does not equal automatic.

The trump regime is using an 18 y/o conviction to separate a father from his American wife and kids (and you're continuing to skip over the "family values" hypocrisy). Proof that it's about deporting as many people as possible and not going after the "worst of the worst". Quantity is being prioritized over quality.

“So… a six-year-old girl fleeing cartel violence, crossing the border with her grandmother… is a criminal?”

For a moment, Karoline’s entire persona — the polished smile, the GOP cheerleading, the made-for-Fox News sarcasm — collapsed. She blinked, looked down at her notes, and offered a broken response:

“I’m not here to debate hypotheticals.”

But it wasn’t a hypothetical.
It was happening.
Every day.

“Karoline, your job isn’t to recite slogans. It’s to explain decisions that affect real lives. And I’ll ask again — for the sake of transparency: How is removing a child from a classroom, a parent from a hospital, or a family from a heating assistance program — how is any of that about safety or savings?”

Army vet calls for investigation after being detained for three days in ICE raid
A U.S. Army veteran who was detained during the massive immigration raid in Ventura County last week said Wednesday that he wants “a full investigation” into how he could have been held behind bars for three days despite being an American citizen.

“What happened to me wasn’t just a mistake,” he said in a written statement. “It was a violation of my civil rights. It was excessive force.”
...
He did not get to work. Instead, he said, agents smashed his car window, pepper-sprayed him and dragged him out at gunpoint.

“I let ICE agents know that I’m a U.S. Citizen, that I’m American,” he said. “They didn’t care. They never told me my charges. They sent me away.”

Retes, who served in Iraq, said agents never told him why he was being detained at the federal Metropolitan Detention Center in downtown Los Angeles. He was packed off, without a phone call, access to a lawyer, or even a way to clean the pepper-spray residue off his clothes and face, he said.

ICE secretly deported Pennsylvania grandfather, 82, after he lost his Green Card
Relatives last saw Luis Leon, who lives in Allentown, Pennsylvania, on June 20, when he and his wife visited the Philadelphia immigration office to replace his lost green card, The Morning Call first reported.

There, officers handcuffed him and took him away without explanation, relatives told the outlet. His family was left scrambling, contacting immigration offices, hospitals and even a morgue for more information on Leon’s whereabouts.

Then, on July 9, Leon’s wife received a call that seemed to confirm the family’s worst fears; the caller claimed the 82-year-old had died.

Thankfully, this week, his family members learned that Leon had been moved from a detention facility in Minnesota to Guatemala. He’s now in a hospital in Guatemala City, the outlet reported.
...
Leon was granted political asylum in 1987 after surviving Chilean dictator Augusto Pinochet’s regime, the outlet reported. He has a clean record — and hasn’t even been given so much as a parking ticket, the family claimed.

Two, It's about time, ICE started to live up to trump's promise to detain and deport the "worst of the worst".

Well, if your going to quote a bleeding heart, one sided story from a left wing source without ICE/CBP‘s side of the story, I‘ll quote 4 (or more) from right wing sources of crimes committed by criminal illegal aliens.

Sounds like QUNI88 posting some FAKE NEWS.
According to family members, who are the entirety of the sourcing on this, Luis Leon and his wife were allegedly arrested by ICE while the former was trying to replace his green card. Both were taken to a detention facility "without explanation." After 10 hours, the wife was released, but Leon, who gained asylum in 1987, was kept in custody. That's where the first oddity in this story emerges. Family members talking to the press first claimed he had died in custody. Now, though, they are saying he is at a hospital in Guatemala….

….First and foremost, was Luis Leon ever even arrested by ICE? As of now, his name does not appear in any of their databases, which would be unusual. Secondly, if he was, was his immigration status as in order as the family is saying? As far as I can tell, no one has really dug into that yet, so major questions remain. Was his green card valid? Was there another extenuating circumstance at play? We simply don't know at this point, despite the enthusiasm of the press to speak with such certainty about the situation.

With that said, the biggest twist in this story took place on Sunday. Guatemalan authorities put out a statement denying that Luis Leon entered their country, saying no one of his name or age range matches any entries. Further, they confirmed no person of Chilean nationality has been deported to Guatemala either.

So, is he in Guatemala or not? There's no evidence to say he is, and you'd think the authorities there would have no problem locating him if he had been officially deported there and had been put in a hospital. Deportation flights are highly standardized. It's not like ICE just flies deportees in unannounced and dumps them on the street. They are processed by the receiving government.

Further, Luis Leon's granddaughter told the press he's in Guatemala recovering from pneumonia, but that he has "no plans" to return to the United States. Wait, what? So he's from Chile and has been in America legally for nearly 40 years, but he's just going to stay in Guatemala? That's a little too convenient, given the seriousness of the accusation.

Lastly, a lot of the details provided by the family do not add up. Nicolette Glazer, an immigration lawyer, explained in a recent social media thread how many of their claims are factually incorrect. It's too much to copy and paste here, but click below and read through all the inconsistencies she notes regarding how the immigration system actually works…..

Terrifying moment dad pleads with ICE agents to let his child out of the car at daycare before they arrest him
The alarming footage, obtained by Oregon Public Broadcasting, shows the 38-year-old chiropractor asking ICE agents to “wait for three minutes” because “there is a baby in the car.” After the child was removed from the car, ICE officers can be seen cracking open the driver’s side window.

In the final clip, taken by a witness, the onlooker can be heard exclaiming: “This is not OK, and no one here will identify themselves to me,” as masked agents handcuff Khanbabazadeh and take him away.
...
A second clip, recorded at 8:32 a.m. in the daycare’s parking lot, shows the father pleading with officers to hold off on their arrest as he waits for someone to pick up his child. Khanbabazadeh tells the youngster that mom is on the way.

“There is a baby in the car,” he says. “Is it hard to wait for three minutes?”

Another dashcam clip captured ICE officers smashing the driver’s side window of the car after Khanbabazadeh’s child had gotten out. The dad tells agents he is getting out, and one officer replies: “We told you three times. Unbuckle your seat belt and step out of the car.”
...
“I feel like a day care, which is where young children are taken care of, should be a safe place,” Natalie Berning said after dropping off her daughter at the Montessori in Beaverton Friday morning. “Not only is it traumatizing for the family, it’s traumatizing for all the other children as well.”
If true, I guess the baby was irrelevant and they couldn't wait 3 minutes. Traumatized children and families be damned.

The Party of FAMILY VALUES strikes again!
