They need each other. Can MAGA be persuaded to go along with a pardon? I say yes.
The main thing to remember is that the White House and its allies are trying to shift the story’s center of gravity away from the Epstein files—files the White House repeatedly promised to release, which it could release at Trump’s direction at any moment, but in which, alas, Trump himself apparently repeatedly appears. Given that the files are simply files, they are irritatingly immune to Trump’s usual toolkit of story-shaping moves: They can’t be bullied, bought off, or intimidated. All the White House can do is release them or not—and they tried “not,” and it didn’t work all that well.

Maxwell, however, provides a potential new center of gravity for l’affaire Epstein. If Trump and his allies can convince their base that she, rather than the Epstein files, is the key to unlocking the Epstein story, they can recast their own role in that story: not as the people holding back the critical information for reasons they can’t adequately explain, but as the people seeking out the critical information by getting Epstein’s top co-conspirator to at last spill the beans.

This, of course, is also why the White House has continued to advance the preposterous notion that the Epstein files currently in their possession were likely doctored during the Biden administration to hurt Trump. Trump’s media allies have picked up on this line too: “If anybody actually has the information of what has happened around Jeffrey Epstein, it’s not going to be some James Comey–created file,” Charlie Kirk said last week on his radio show. “It’s going to be Ghislaine Maxwell.”

Yep. Russia had zero to do with Trump getting elected in 2016. Just one giant hoax by the left because in their minds there‘s no way a political neophyte buffoon could have beaten the Annointed One Hillary without there being some type of rig job. This was what they came up with to try to feed to the American people.

And after Trump was made the Russian bogeyman, it was no coincidence that all the silly liberals suddenly found a reason not to like Russia anymore….. Russia was suddenly the enemy just like Trump… China, the real enemy, was ignored by the anointed ones

at least they could of had a dialogue about Russia, but Joey rotten couldn’t even bring himself to do that one time for his entire “weekend at Bernie’s” presidency

‘The whole thing was a fake’: Trump says Democrats could have ‘put things in’ the Epstein file
President Donald Trump baselessly suggested that any mentions of his name in criminal case files related to deceased pedophile Jeffrey Epstein would be there as a result of Democratic efforts to ensnare him in a “hoax.”

Sitting next to British Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer during an hour-long media availability in Scotland, Trump called the continuing furor over the case of Epstein, who died by suicide in 2019 while awaiting trial on federal sex trafficking charges, “a hoax that's been built up way beyond proportion” and accused his predecessor of having tampered with the infamous case files.

“Those files were run by the worst scum on Earth. They were run by Comey, they were run by Garland, they were run by Biden, and all of the people that actually ran the government, including the auto pen. Those files were run for four years by those people. If they had anything, I assume they would have released it,” Trump said Monday.
He does realize that if this is true then the opposite is also true and if his name is legitimately in the files, that he could have it removed before they're released.

Why should we trust him?

And another copyright violation by DHS and the trump regime ...

Thomas Kinkade Foundation Denounces DHS’s Usage of Painting to Promote ‘Division and Xenophobia’
The Thomas Kinkade Family Foundation has spoken out against a recent social media post by the Department of Homeland Security, saying that it did not authorize the usage of a painting by the artist that was paired alongside the phrase “Protect the Homeland.”
...
“Thomas Kinkade loved this country,” reads a description for Morning Pledge on the website of Thomas Kinkade Studios, which sells prints of the late artist’s work and is separate from the Thomas Kinkade Family Foundation. “He believed in the founding fathers and their view of their fledgling republic. He absolutely knew that the United States was a beacon of hope for the world, promising fundamental justice and dignity for all those living here and help for those not allowed their basic human rights no matter where they might be.”
...
“At The Kinkade Family Foundation, we strongly condemn the sentiment expressed in the post and the deplorable actions that DHS continues to carry out,” the foundation wrote in a statement posted to its website. “Like many of you, we were deeply troubled to see this image used to promote division and xenophobia associated with the ideals of DHS, as this is antithetical to our mission. We stand firmly with our communities who have been threatened and targeted by DHS, especially our immigrant, BIPOC, undocumented, LGBTQ+, and disabled relatives and neighbors.
ICE Barbie needs to get this investigated and charges filed ASAP.

Well Trump admitted that Epstein stole staff from him. That was the real crime the Dems were highlighting.

Trump’s Epstein Fiasco Worsens as Dems Suddenly Find Big New Weapon
The New York Times reports that seven Democrats on the upper chamber’s Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee just sent a letter to DOJ demanding that it turn over the information it has compiled related to the investigation pursuant to the 2019 arrest of Jeffrey Epstein on sex-trafficking charges, using a decades-old statute:

Under a section of federal law commonly referred to in the Senate as the “rule of five,” government agencies are required to provide relevant information if any five members of that committee, which is the chamber’s chief oversight panel, request it.

The letter spells out exactly what Democrats are demanding, calling for the release of “all documents, files, evidence, or other materials in the possession of DOJ or FBI related to” Epstein’s prosecution, including “audio and video recordings” and much more.
...
Critically, though, the statute that Senate Democrats are now invoking, Vladeck says, was originally designed to “ensure that the minority” in Congress “has real access to what executive agencies are doing.” As you may have noticed, this is a particularly urgent need right now: Democratic efforts at oversight have been entirely blocked by the GOP majority, which is devoted to protecting Trump at all costs.
...
Obviously the Justice Department will ignore the demand. But Senate Democrats can then try to take the administration to court. “The Justice Department has to comply,” congressional scholar Norman Ornstein told me. “If they refuse, Senate Democrats need to sue the attorney general and the Justice Department for failure to comply with the law.”
...
The failure of accountability is everywhere in the Epstein matter. After campaigning on a promise of transparency, the president—with the active assistance of most of the GOP—is thwarting disclosure of untold damning information involving a ring of child predators, information that quite possibly involves some of the richest and most powerful people in the world, including the president himself.

This assertion of stolen election just makes you look like a gullible cult member. No one outside of MAGA believes the election was stolen. It’s been studied 100’s of times and adjudicated in multiple court cases.

It really makes you look foolish to continue parroting Trump’s talking points.
The eight Republican attorneys conducted a deep legal review of all 64 court cases filed by Trump and his supporters to contest the 2020 results. The final report, with 280 reference citations, provided unequivocal evidence that Trump lost. They found there was “ no credible evidence that fraud changed the outcome even in a single precinct, let alone in any state.”

The attorneys “also examined, point by point, every fraud accusation made in social media and in the public forum by those who claimed the election was stolen.” They found no improper vote counts, no voting machine rigging, no absentee ballot fraud, no voter identification fraud and no blocking of observers during the vote count.

The report’s authors include three prominent retired federal judges ( Thomas Griffith, Michael McConnell and J. Michael Luttig), former Solicitor General Theodore Olson, election lawyer Benjamin Ginsberg, longtime congressional senior aide David Hoppe and former Sens. John Danforth (Mo.) and Gordon Smith (Ore.).

Put down the bottle and provide real proof, not rumors and innuendo about immigrants or record numbers of voters but real proof, that the election was stolen.

The truth is that you can't. It doesn't exist or trump would have provided it in court. The 2020 election wasn't stolen anymore than the 2016 or 2024 election was stolen. trump's bluster and bullshit about the election being stolen is just as dangerous and seditious as brennan's report.

Chang and Eng talking about things that I’m not talking about

Just like you do on the Thomas Soul Train thread as you boys keep referring to him as an economist, but I’ve never posted anything that he said on the economy

Why even try.

So he’s an economist who you follow for what? His social commentary?

Hey! I have a Rec MGMT degree from the Harvard of the Palouse. And I have opinions on social commentary too!
He earned a master's degree in economics from Columbia University the next year, and a PhD in economics from the University of Chicago in 1968.[8]

Sowell has taught economics at Howard University, Rutgers, Cornell, Brandeis University, Amherst College, and the University of California, Los Angeles.[28]
Exactly 👍🏻

His social commentary is pure gold

Written dozens of books and very well researched

Economics gets votes but doesn’t sell books

Millions Tuned in to Watch Trump’s ‘South Park’ Micropenis
The White House may not be laughing, but South Park’s Donald Trump-mocking season opener just pulled off a historic ratings feat.

The long-running animated series is basking in its biggest premiere since the Clinton era, with the episode—featuring a depiction of Trump’s “teeny-tiny” manhood—drawing the largest share of cable viewers for a season opener since 1999, according to a Comedy Central press release. Viewership jumped 68 percent compared to last season’s premiere.

In the three days following its July 23 debut, the episode, titled “Sermon on the ‘Mount,’” drew nearly 6 million viewers across Comedy Central and the Paramount+ streaming service. It was the most-watched show on all cable channels on its debut day.

South Park, which first aired on August 13, 1997, didn’t just dominate cable, it also lit up social media. Comedy Central noted that #SouthPark trended on X for more than 12 hours.
So much for the the show not being relevant and hanging on by a thread.
