He is absolutely 100% not lowering rates because of Trump and how it would help the country.

He’s not.
I’m guessing they’ll lower rates once trade is firmly established and the threat of inflation diminishes.

It’s not winning at all.
My SiL is an editor with OPB Their programming is so damn good. The historical/educational stuff alone is worth its weight in gold.
We are dumber and worse off as a country by cutting this funding.
But hey…I’m sure that tasteless gold plated $200 million monstrosity of a banquet room will benefit the common man.

How much propaganda was there? How much other programming? What made it progavda? Post some examples and also demonstrate how the right wing wasn’t allowed to express their opinions.
Never mind. You won’t. Just stick to tired old tropes.
Losing.

Democrats Get Lowest Rating From Voters in 35 Years, WSJ Poll FindsUNI88 wrote: ↑Sat Jul 26, 2025 11:59 am Independents are increasingly souring on Trump, new poll finds
A July poll from Gallup found that Trump’s job approval rating has dipped to just 37 percent among all American adults, the lowest of his second term. Self-identified independents gave the president a 29 percent job approval rating. The 17-point decline since January matches his lowest rating with independents in either of his terms.
Sixty-four percent of independents said they have an unfavorable opinion of the job Trump is doing. Just 7 percent of Republicans said the same, while 97 percent of Democrats said they had an unfavorable view.
The poll, which was conducted just days after Congress passed Trump’s megabill, showed that 73 percent of independents disapprove of the president’s handling of the federal budget. Sixty-five percent of all adults surveyed said they disapprove of how Trump is handling the budget, an increase from 52 percent who said the same in March of this year.
The decline in support could be a warning sign for Republican leaders as they look to maintain their slim control of the House and Senate ahead of the 2026 midterms.
Trump struggled to garner more than 40 percent approval from independent voters on several issues central to his 2024 campaign.
Though Trump made fortifying the economy a central pillar of his campaign, 68 percent of independents said they disapprove of how he is handling the issue. Overall, 61 percent of adults said they disapprove of how the president is handling the economy — a steady increase from the 54 percent who said the same in February, and roughly even with the 59 percent who said so in March.
Independent voters also remain largely displeased with his handling of immigration, even as it remains a cornerstone of Trump’s agenda — framed as essential to national security and economic stability.
Only 30 percent of independents approve of Trump’s handling of immigration in the Gallup poll. Sixty percent of all adults said they disapprove of his handling of the issue, also an increase from February when 51 percent said the same.

And there IS a threat of inflation. It’s already occurring in some sectors.

How do you improve employment numbers? You fire the head of the Bureau of Labor Statistics.
Next up:
- How do you stop flooding in Texas or elsewhere? You cancel the Weather Channel.
- How do you stop wildfires? You fire Smokey the Bear.

Re: Trump 2.0: MAGAA
Trump signs order increasing tariffs on Canadian goods from 25% to 35%
So which is it? Fentanyl or recognizing the state of Palestine? Or did Canada turn down a building permit or some other perceived slight in the past and trump is still holding a grudge? The White House said on Thursday evening that Trump had increased tariffs on Canada because the country had failed to act on “the public health crisis caused by fentanyl and illicit drugs flowing across the northern border into the United States”.
In the early hours of Thursday morning, however, Trump had posted on social media that he might not strike a deal with Canada on tariffs as punishment for its decision to recognize the state of Palestine.
“Wow! Canada has just announced that it is backing statehood for Palestine,” Trump wrote on his Truth Social platform. “That will make it very hard for us to make a Trade Deal with them. Oh’ Canada!!!”
Officials in Ottawa have repeatedly noted that only a minuscule amount of fentanyl entering the US originates from Canada. On Thursday, Carney said Canada accounted for just 1% of US fentanyl imports. Still, Canada has taken measures to strengthen the border.

Pure fucking gold from Josh Johnson. Trump is literally the dumbest politician in the U.S. He makes the Guam tipping over Guy and Louis Gohmert look like geniuses.

Lady was in way over her head. Don't you remember the 820k downward revision of the jobs numbers last year?
You can work with dumbasses all you like, and that's why you apparently couldn't understand DOGE, but I choose to work with those qualified to actually do their jobs.
