Lawl the only ones getting fed up are the leftists. The only ones who would ever get fired on are your violent leftist Anteefa agitators.
Define violence and how many people have the protestors injured? You do realize, the manner in which we enforce immigration law is a choice, right?

And gee…what are they complaining about anyway? Human rights? Constitutional authority? States rights? Due process?

Pffft. Ingrates.. :ohno:

Kind of like MAQA yahoos complained about the enforcement of laws regarding interfering with an election and the return of classified documents.

Law and order only matters when trump and his merry band of miscreants get to decide which laws and which lawbreakers.

Tell us how the prosecution of homen for accepting a bribe is going? No one is above the law right?

trump, his qabinet and MAQA yahoos are living in glass houses, they are guilty of most of the things they accuse the left of.

UNI88 wrote: Sun Sep 28, 2025 12:28 pm A more complicated protest outside Portland’s ICE facility
If he did, he would find no ruin or destruction. Travel around Portland this season and you’ll find a city that looks as prosperous and peaceful as it ever has. The downtown area, a couple of miles north of the ICE building, looks as normal as it ever gets.

In 2020, when Trump last sent a federal force into Portland, neighborhoods were filled with tear gas and people were grabbed from off the streets, well away from a then-violent core.

Current protests appear limited to the ICE building and the streets immediately around it, where traffic has been unimpeded. At least one apartment dweller nearby has complained about noise, and a sign was posted on an office building across the street saying, “Please do not vandalize. We are a nonprofit. We are not associated with the ICE building.” The building appears to be unmarked and undamaged.
...
But the protesters come in distinct types, most easily grouped as “day” and “night.”

On Monday mornings since January, an interdenominational religious group organized in part by local Quakers stands on the sidewalk in front of the building and holds up protesting signs. They are quiet — most of the sound comes from the honking of passersby car horns, generally in support of the protesters — and peaceful; most are seniors. About 30 were there this week; the group’s mailing list was said to include 60 people. Around noon, they packed up their signs and later other groups, at least one of them Buddhist, took their place. Most of the protesters come from a variety of religious groups.

People there say the scene is different at night, when a smaller and more hard-edged group — some of the day-timers called them “rowdies” — show up. They make noise, have left graffiti, and have thrown objects. In response, ICE troops, whose appearance usually is limited in the day, were said to sometimes emerge with tear gas. The usual number of people showing up at night, according to the daytime regulars, is small, usually fewer than two dozen.

One of the day protesters, Joe Snyder of Portland, said he doubted “we need a lot of federal troops for 15 or 20 people.”

Day or night, there’s little personal contact between the people inside the building and those outside. It’s become a routine. And none of the groups in or around the building seem entirely comfortable with the others.
From everything I've heard this is pretty accurate.

What kind of beta cucks declare a place a war zone and feel the need to call in the military for 15-24 protesters?

FYI - the people protesting during the day aren't hardcore leftists, they're you're neighbors.
Lawl there’s videos with a lot more than 15-24 people. And every night those insurrectionists are out there those ICE agents are tied up dealing with them, which means they aren’t able to do their job which is arresting and deporting illegal aliens. Now maybe if PPD and/or OSP was allowed to assist (not in enforcing immigration law but with the insurrectionist Anteefa agitators on the city property surrounding the ICE facility then the NG wouldn’t have to be called in.

Notice how none of this shit is going on in red states? There’s leftist agitators, but in red states local (or state) are allowed to assist in non immigration law enforcement -dealing with leftist agitators on city/state property that is around Fed property, blocking the vehicles, etc.
-crowd control/protecting ICE) at the locations ICE is conducting enforcement actions in.

Sure if you go back to June and the No Kings protests. Things had died down a lot until the dipshit in the White House decided to stir them up again.

The numbers are going increasing since his moronic announcement. trump, as he usually does, has made things worse. Fortunately the protests have been peaceful, hopefully they'll stay that way.

Social media is blowing up with Portlanders mocking trump with photos of Portland as a "war zone": the Rose Garden, sailboats on the Willamette, etc.

If you live in the northeast, you live in Portland, Maine… :coffee:
Don't be a moron. Portland is divided into four (4) quarters: the Willamette River divides east and west Portland and Burnside Avenue divides north and south Portland. I live north of Burnside and east of the Willamette thus northeast.

I do plan to be in Portland Maine on Tuesday sampling NE IPAs. That's if I can avoid the AnTiFa roadblocks and landmines on my way to the airport now that I'm living in Baghdad 2.0. Maybe hegseth and the gnome can send some Rangers and an armored personnel carrier to get me there. :sarcasm:

I added the emoji in case the sarcasm was too nuanced for you to understand.
No sarcasm emoji is necessary with me. Trust me

The fact that you don’t know this says something about you and it’s not really flattering dummy

Hundreds protest at ICE building after Trump’s announcement of troop deployment to Portland
Several hundred people gathered outside the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement building in Portland Sunday afternoon and into the evening to protest the Trump administration’s deployment of National Guard troops to the city.

Federal agents armed with long-barrel firearms patrolled from nearby rooftops.

Families, including grandparents and children riding bikes, filled the streets alongside the longtime protesters clad in the “black bloc” style of ski masks and sunglasses who have been outside the Portland ICE building off and on for the past several months.

Chants and bucket drumming rang in the air during an afternoon demonstration that was raucous but largely free of confrontation.
...
Dina, the protest organizer who is also a deacon at a Portland-area church, said many protesters took issue with the sentiment, saying it “perpetuates the Trump administration’s posturing about how we are dangerous protesters.”

“We are not. We are average, everyday citizens who are tired of the illegal actions of this administration and we are out here protesting well within our constitutional rights,” she said.
trump is sending in 200 national guard because ICE agents are frightened by the 12, 15, 20, 30 maybe even 40 protesters who were showing up nightly. Now hundreds are showing up to peacefully protest.

Your war correspondent, UNI R. Murrow88, reporting live from Portland.

I rarely go into Minneapolis anymore. Just not worth the risk. Plenty of places to eat and entertain in the burbs. New documentary coming out A Precarious State. Below is part or the story discussed.

Serious crime is way up since before the death of George Floyd. In Minneapolis, homicides increased 43%, auto theft surged 67% and vandalism rose 73%, per data from the Minneapolis Crime Dashboard comparing Jan. 1-Sept. 15, 2019, vs. Jan. 1-Sept. 15, 2025. While facing some of the highest rates of crime and violence in Minneapolis’s history, CBS News reports, the Minneapolis police force is down 40% in the last four years.

Investment is down — due to elevated risk assessments by institutional investors. Minneapolis-St. Paul has long punched above its weight attracting institutional investment, but that has changed since 2020. Institutional investors tell Minneapolis commercial real estate leaders it’s “career suicide” to recommend this area to investment committees. They see Minneapolis-St. Paul like they see Portland, Ore., and Oakland, Calif.

I was being facetious but it must have been too nuanced for you.

I was within a couple hundred yards of the Portland ICE facility at the end of August. As I stated earlier I was in southeast Portland at night a couple weeks ago and in the industrial northwest a week before that. Portland is NOT a war zone.

Ive been to the south side of Chicago a bunch of times and lived on the west side. I lived in the Kensington neighborhood of Philly. This Iowa boy is more than familar with city neighborhoods.

‘Emergency’ World Naked Bike Ride planned in response to troop deployment to Portland
The World Naked Bike Ride is planning an “emergency ride” in response to the National Guard’s deployment in Portland.

The group posted on Instagram about an “Emergency World Naked Bike Ride” in the works.

In the post, organizers say they’re getting ready to ride for another cause, responding to what they call the “militarization of our city.”

The post says organizers are still working on the details, and it’s not clear exactly when the ride could take place.

The World Naked Bike Ride typically happens every summer, where people bike in the buff to protest pollution from other forms of transportation and call attention to cyclist safety.

Ive been to the south side of Chicago a bunch of times and lived on the west side. I lived in the Kensington neighborhood of Philly. This Iowa boy is more than familar with city neighborhoods.
