‘No Kings’ protests pass in festival atmosphere as an estimated 7 million across US rally against Trump’s ‘authoritarianism’
“Today, millions of people showed that we, the people, will not be silenced,” Deirdre Schifeling, chief political and advocacy officer for the American Civil Liberties Union, said in a statement.

Protesters at rallies across the country shouted a common refrain:“Hey hey! Ho ho! Donald Trump has got to go!” Inflatable suits, Revolutionary War references, and posters depicting Trump in a crown were ubiquitous.

And 81 million showed up for no Narcissistic Sociopathic Kings day on November 3, 2020.

What's your point? Neither were actual protests.

Portland is getting it right - nothing enrages these cunts like laughter and ridicule. Had about 2,000 people up in Carbondale, a town of about 20,000, turned into a great party, even had a marching band playing second-line tunes!

Because he hangs out with a crowd that fucks children and his actions suggest that the video evidence he's withholding the release of contains incriminating content featuring him.

What he doesn't understand is that there will come a day when Putin no longer finds him useful and then he will release Russia's copy just to twist the knife.

Probably has some great action films featuring Melania too. :coffee:

It's democracy. It gets messy and embarrassing sometimes. I guarantee that you would've hated the Andrew Jackson years, but we as a country persevered and have gone on for another 190 years or so since then. This Trump-Biden-Trump run is very much like other crappy periods in our past. It happens, but there's another federal election in 2026 and a Presidential one in 2028 - at some point we'll get past this period of living in the stupid times. :coffee:

Trump claims ‘unquestioned power' to deploy troops to San Francisco under Insurrection Act

Presidents who have invoked the Insurrection Act:
  1. Thomas Jefferson – 1808: Used in relation to violations of the Embargo Act.
  2. Andrew Jackson – 1831 (Nat Turner revolt) and 1834 (Maryland labor dispute) under the Act.
  3. Abraham Lincoln – 1861: At the start of the Civil War to send federal troops into seceding states.
  4. Ulysses S. Grant – Post-Civil War / Reconstruction era: invoked multiple times to deal with KKK violence and protect civil rights.
  5. Rutherford B. Hayes – 1877 & 1878: e.g., railroad strike and New Mexico conflict.
  6. Grover Cleveland – 1885/86: For riots against Chinese immigrants; and 1894 Pullman Strike.
  7. Woodrow Wilson – 1914: Colorado labor uprising.
  8. Franklin D. Roosevelt – 1940s: For example Detroit race riots under this authority.
  9. Dwight D. Eisenhower – 1957: Federalized the National Guard and used troops in Little Rock, Arkansas to enforce school desegregation.
  10. John F. Kennedy – Early 1960s: e.g., protecting integration in Mississippi and Alabama.
  11. Lyndon B. Johnson – 1960s: Example: 1967 Detroit riot and protection of civil rights marchers.
  12. Ronald Reagan – 1987: Used for an Atlanta prison riot.
  13. George H. W. Bush – 1989 (Virgin Islands post-Hurricane Hugo) and 1992 (Los Angeles riots, after Rodney King verdict)
That's roughly 29% of Presidents.

Of those, only Lincoln, Grant, Eisenhower, Kennedy and Johnson (5) did so over the objections of local officials. That's roughly 11% of Presidents.

Hey…I hope he settles down and is kept in check too. I’m just recognizing his administration’s challenges to judicial authority, blatant violations of the Hatch Act and Emoluments Clause, Posse Comitatus, extra judicial killings of drug traffickers, coziness with Putin, abuse of pardons and commutations, stripping regulatory agencies of authority, attacks on media, colleges, and law firms, prosecution based on political opppsition….etc

Now….these all happened on this level before? Perhaps. Have they all come from one administration in a 9 month timeframe?

It was a homily as there was zero need for your history lesson . It’s known. If you don’t understand normalizing, I don’t know how to help you.

Exactly! Pre Trump we were truly trending towards “stupid times”

People got tired of stupid times and elected him twice

Fighting “stupid times” didn’t go over well with the established crooks, Just look at how many times they tried to sabotage his presidency, impeach him for asking about Hunter Biden’s corrupt activities overseas, prosecute him for vengeance and even tried to kill him a few times.

And for yourself and many others like you, it’s all about his rough personality and being rich

Yep.
1. They used a corrupt FBI/DOJ against him (Russian collusion HOAX, Crossfire Hurricane, Steele Dossier, Artic Frost, etc. in an attempted soft coup of his 1st admin. admin.
2. They impeached him twice in a further soft coup attempt, including for looking into Biden’s bribing Ukraine to fire the prosecutor who was investigating the corruption of the company Hunter was getting paid 83k a month ‘working‘ for.
3. Tried helping Biden in the election by using the FBI, Deep State 51 Liars, Big Tech, and the MSM all colluding to suppress Hunter‘s laptop.
4. They tried to bankrupt him through 2 massive civil cases one of which has already been completely tossed.
5. They indicted him 4 times in an election year, and tried to throw him in prison.
6. They tried removing him from ballots.
7. They tried to kill him 2x.

No president in the history of the country has had to face as much shit as Trump has.

The rest of the world either laughs at, fears, or figures they can manipulate Trump.

He has no friends or admirers. Only people he knows.

Sad really.
