Biden went far to the left in his administration and it wasn't helpful. Trump, if he's not going to the far right is at least going far in some direction, and that's not really helpful either. Getting back to people with common sense and the ability to see the good on either side of the aisle and work with people from other sides of the aisle (which at least you can do from the center - get to the fringes and it's too hard to even see the other side, let alone assess their ideas or work with them) seems like a far better approach.

trump might be a cultural conservative but he is absolutely not a fiscal conservative. Way too many red flags (tariffs, state ownership/stakes in business entities, etc). Fiscally, except for the tax breaks for the wealthy, he's taken it further than kalm dreamed.

I'd even settle for a Vance vs Buttigieg election. That's still several order of magnitude less stupid than what we've been going through for the past couple of elections.
