Follow that up with a 2017 meeting that told them the same. If the family moved, they also didn't follow the law by letting the government know where to send communication, but that isn't being said. Lastly, they didn't bother to come through a port of entry like required, but hopped the border. That's a lot of breaking the law.

The judge's ruling seems pretty reasonable and also temporary (i.e. keep her here while we sort this out). The government simply has to make their case in court, win and then they can deport. That is the role of the judiciary and how the legal process works.
