Should ICE even be sniffing around schools? They shouldn't even be talking to minors without parental consent.

I thought Republicans believed in Parents' rights.

Typical behavior of Americas leading Crime Family … they were helping families alright by lining their pockets with fraudulent cash

“Former first lady Jill Biden went to Minnesota in 2022 to highlight the billions of dollars in investments for childcare that were part of Democrats' American Rescue Plan Act, where she stood next to Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz and praised him for his leadership helping families.”

Oversight of Fraud and Misuse of Federal Funds in Minnesota
I also fear the selective interest in fraud in America. For at the same time as these crimes are rightly being investigated by state and federal authorities, the larger infrastructure for prosecuting fraud and white collar crime is being dismantled. Let me give you a few examples:
  • In February, 2025, the Department of Justice paused enforcement of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, which prohibits foreign bribery, and criminal violations of the Foreign Agents Registration Act, which, as the name suggests, prohibits acting as a secret agent of a foreign power.
  • Between February and April of last year, the Department disbanded its Kleptocapture Task Force (which enforced sanctions against Russian oligarchs) and the National Cryptocurrency Enforcement Team.
  • Last year the Department forced out most of the lawyers in the Public Integrity Section, which prosecutes crimes by government officials, and announced plans to dismantle the Tax Division (which prosecutes tax evasion), while the FBI shuttered the task force that investigated congressional misconduct.
More than just dismantling the infrastructure for pursuing violations of the law, the government is, for favored defendants, enabling them:
  • In 2024, the Justice Department indicted Andrew Wiederhorn, the CEO of a fast casual food chain, for allegedly stealing $47 million from his own company. After his business donated $100,000 to the Trump inaugural committee, his case was dropped, and the line level prosecutor on his case was fired.
  • In 2021, the Department sued Boeing for deceiving the government about the software that caused two plane crashes, killing 346 people. After donating $1 million to the Trump inaugural committee, Boeing negotiated a favorable deferred prosecution agreement that the judge overseeing the case that the overseeing judge said “fails to secure the necessary accountability to ensure the safety of the flying public,” but felt compelled by precedent to accept it nevertheless.
  • The examples continue: banks that contributed to the Trump inaugural committee litigations against them for violating consumer financial protection laws dropped. So too did cryptocurrency companies that were investigated and sued by the Securities and Exchange Commission and who contributed to the inaugural committee. Crucially, those crypto companies that did not donate to the committee or other Trump-affiliated entities remain defendants.
The scale of these frauds involve millions stolen, and hundreds killed, and yet they have received a fraction of the attention of the fraud in Minnesota. This concerns me, because we are both dismantling our infrastructure for fighting fraud, and providing a roadmap for how those fraudsters who are prosecuted can buy their way out of justice. While we need to pursue the fraud we’re seeing in Minnesota’s social safety programs, because it is the weakest among us who are being harmed, we cannot be selectively interested in fraud. If we are, we put some people—the very powerful and the very rich—beyond the reach of the law.
Pay no attention to the men behind the curtain who are defrauding America and getting away with it because they support and contribute to trump.

The Witch Hunt / Lawfare against Renee and Becca Good is going to have a major impact on the investigation into fraud in Minnesota daycares. I guess vindictive retribution is more important than actual justice.

"Darkest day" for rule of law: Ex-federal prosecutors react to U.S. Attorney's Office resignations
Among those who resigned on Tuesday is Joe Thompson, the first assistant U.S. attorney. He notably took the lead on dozens of fraud cases that are getting national attention, explaining to the public the nature of the charges and the scope of the investigation. He recently said the total amount of fraud could reach $9 billion.

Thompson could not be reached for comment.

Anders Folk — who previously held a role similar to Thompson and at one time was the acting U.S. attorney before Andy Luger was appointed to the position in 2022 — told WCCO News that he had never seen anything like what happened Tuesday with that many career prosecutors—who are not political appointees—resigning at once.
...
Filling those vacancies and rebuilding what's already a lean office won't happen overnight, he said. He also believes it will impact current investigations and prosecutions underway, like probes into widespread fraud in state welfare programs and the killing of former House Speaker Melissa Hortman and her husband, Mark, last summer.

"This is not a positive development for bringing people to justice in these fraud cases, and it's not a positive development for these other cases that you mentioned — getting justice in the murder of Melissa Hortman," Folk said in an interview. "This is a material number of prosecutors to lose all at one time, and there's no way that this won't impact the office, both in terms of morale, certainly, but just in terms of having people there to get the work done."

United Healthcare has defrauded Medicare to a far greater extent. Bondi fired the lead investigator (actually he resigned when asked to investigate Good’s wife)

So what’s the current status of this case?

Also…Biden crime family…or something like that.

The land of 10,000 fraudsters per square mile

Minnesota

What they're saying:
First Assistant U.S. Attorney Joe Thomposon spoke candidly about the scale of the fraud being uncovered in the state.

"The fraud is not small. It isn't isolated," Thompson said. "What we see in Minnesota is not a handful of bad actors committing crimes. It's a staggering industrial scale of fraud. It's swamping Minnesota and calling into question everything we know about our state."

During the conference, the U.S. Attorney's Office highlighted 14 Medicaid services that are flagged as being at a "high risk" for facilitating fraud.

The services include the following:

Housing stabilization
Adult companion
Assertive community treatment
Intensive residential treatment
Adult day services
Recuperative care
Integrated community
Peer recovery
PCA/Community first
Non-emergency medical transport
Adult rehabilitative mental health
Autism services
Night supervision
Individualized home
Those 14 programs have cost a total of $18 billion since 2018, including $3.5 billion in 2024 alone. Investigators are now working to determine how much of those funds were fraudulently distributed.

Trump Pardons Convicted Fraudster After Earlier Clemency Grant
A San Diego businesswoman who was granted clemency by Donald Trump in 2021 and later convicted on new fraud charges received a pardon from the president on Thursday.
...
In all, Trump granted clemency on Thursday to 21 people, White House pardon czar Alice Marie Johnson said in a social media post.
...
Besides Adriana Camberos, other people granted clemency by Trump have committed new crimes. They include Eliyahu “Eli” Weinstein, a convicted Ponzi schemer whose 24-year prison term was commuted by Trump in 2021. In November, he was sentenced to 37 years behind bars for stealing $44 million from investors after he was released.
I'll believe trump is serious about fighting fraud when he stops pardoning fraudsters, especially white ones who "grease the skids", which is just another form of fraud.
