I blame the streaming services and the need to flood the marketplace with as many offerings as possible. With so many movies getting made, the vast majority are poorly put together crap. Still plenty of really good films out there, you just have to sort through so much rubbish to get to them.

Yep, Hollywood always leaned left, but nothing like the last 10-15 years. The woke stuff really started around 2010-15 with the rise of social media, BLM, and Trump 1.0. In 2020 the woke trans DEI ideology went into hyperdrive over BLAntifa riots over a career violent criminal being killed. The Academy Awards implemented DEI race and alphabet people quotas for production crews and actors for movies to receive an Oscar. They rolled that DEI shit back last year after the election of Trump and the threat of Fed action.

At the same time Hollywood went bended knee to BLM and the woke trans ideology crowd, they went bent knee to China. 2008 the highest grossing film in China made 15 million. By 2019 was 600+ million. Who knows how high it is now.
So within a decade Hollywood went from not worrying about China to completely bending the knee to them. Have to appease the Chi-com film censors.

And yes, it is refreshing to hear our far-left leaning folks to finally get concerned about dementia in our leaders after doing everything they could to push back and/or ignore it through 4 years of Biden at the helm. Hopefully this means we elect a new President in 2028 who might even be under the age of 70 when elected. That would be refreshing too.

Agreed except the far left folks never liked Biden much and many of them were calling for a real primary after he bowed out. Kamala was not their preferred choice either. The establishment left and media were the ones supporting Biden for far too long.
