Let me get this straight. You froth at the mouth for a week over Trump being an idiot, retard and war monger and only now after a deal, you say the framework was already there?
The onus is on you to try and salvage your credibility.
And yes, it takes a special kind of idiot to believe that they negotiated the framework of a deal when most of that deal was already in place. Maybe trump knew this and he's counting on his MAQA yahoo followers to be special kinds of idiots and fall for it when he tells them he negotiated the framework of a deal. Regardless, there are some special kinds of idiots trumpeting this "great accomplishment".![]()
You like to tell kalm and me that we're disgusting - you using the R word is disgusting. You should know better.
If this was all in the works for years, which it wasn't, why'd you ramble on in about Trump. You simply could have pointed that out before the framework, but you didn't, because there was no deal like this and now your TDS is making your butt hurt even worse. You can't even list the "supposed" framework that you claim was in place that negated all Trump's 4D chess moves.

This hasn't "been in the works for years". It's actually already in place and has been for a long time. We've had treaties allowing us to establish military based since 1941. The U.S.–Greenland Economic/Mineral Cooperation MOU was signed in 2019 (speaking of idiots, who was POTUS in 2019)?
And I (and Ganny) have posted about it before trump's monumental accomplishment (he's going to need another 3" 3-ring binder).
UNI88 wrote: ↑Tue Jan 20, 2026 12:05 pm Ganny nails it ...GannonFan wrote: ↑Tue Jan 20, 2026 9:17 am But all of that pales in comparison to the damage that is being done with the next-level stupidity that Trump is exhibiting with regards to Greenland now. Even for Trump this is mind-altering stupid. We have what we want with Greenland. Unfettered access to do anything and everything military-wise we want to do on that land. We have access to mine and develop whatever we want to on that island with regard to rare-earths and other minerals. Sure, we'll have to pay for it, but that's what trade is. And we'll certainly get a pretty good discount anyway. Russia and China have no ability to force project outside of their immediate countries so the odds of Greenland being invaded by either are pretty much zero. The only urgency here is Trump's manic need to satiate his compulsive narcissism. Someone close to him has to start talking him down from this epic level of stupidity.

Let's unpack this ...
1) Greenland is already protected by the US through our membership in NATO.
2) Would russia and china be interested in Greenland if they could obtain it without risk? Absolutely. It's a strategic location and contains vital resources. But the risks of either of them attempting to take it are significant and could start WW III. They're extremely unlikely to make a move to attempt to acquire Greenland. This argument by trump is FAKE NEWS.
3) The only country making threats, escalating the rhetoric and risking open conflict is trump and the US.
4) Any move by the US against Greenland could mean the end of NATO and would likely do more damage to our long run security than gaining control of Greenland would give us. We already have permanent military access in Greenland, bases(s), early-warning radar and an Arctic presence. What more do we get? Without NATO, we lose: 30+ allied militaries, shared intelligence networks, alliance leverage against Russia and China, the collective defense of Europe, etc.
This is about one man's ego and rudimentary understanding of geopolitics like he's playing Risk.

It's quite simple bro. You, Ganny and Klam all look like idiots now because you once again fell for Trump's Art of the Deal. Love how you three all proclaim him to be an idiot, but he keeps winning.
The old idiot savant routine is so tired and worn out. "Trump's an idiot, but a genius when it comes to being evil". Really. Do some homework.

Weird, I just re-read what I wrote again and I'm still not able to find the "insults" you claim are there. Did something hit close to home and I didn't even realize it?kalm wrote: ↑Thu Jan 22, 2026 3:03 pmThinly veiled insults are not needed here. The progressive wing of the Dem party has been assimilated. Most leftists do not consider themselves Democrats so they’re not going to have much voice within the party or from establishment media.GannonFan wrote: ↑Thu Jan 22, 2026 12:22 pm
Then the far left folks must be really small in number because there was little to no dissension when Biden finally bowed out (as UNI says, probably at least 2 years too late as it was clear even when he was elected that he was diminishing) and when Kamala was anointed (anointed may sound too pejorative, but it's not far from the truth of what did happen). Once the election strategy was to pave the way and help Trump be the Republican nominee (and I still say the purposeful stalling of legal proceedings to coincide with the election was Democratic strategy) the Dems had locked in Biden as their only option - certainly something Biden's camp was way too eager to accede to as it kept their proximity to power in place. The crickets in the Democratic party as this strategy played out was significant and noticeable. The idea that the far left was raising a stink and strongly pushing back against Biden, either during his Presidency or even after the debate when it was clear he couldn't go on, is revisionist history at its best. They too were far too content to just have a "D" in the White House and claim the win, actual policy be damned.![]()

having lived down in the Caribbean on and off for decades, I would never ever go on a Caribbean cruise. All of the Islands are very similar, especially given you’re only in port for like 10 hours. It sounds like you could use a USA cruise
I kind of ribbed my daughter and my son-in-law for going over to Morocco on vacation. I asked him if he’s ever been to Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle, New Orleans, Key West, Miami, Charleston, Boston Philadelphia, the Grand Canyon, the Badlands a National Park, Yellowstone, Denver….. the answer was no … My point was there are so many places right in the good ole USA to visit but instead it’s “cool” to go to Europe or overseas somewhere.
I do remember you said you’ve been to San Juan (probably the cruise) and “The Burg” aka Williamsburg a while back so at least you’ve been outside the Pacific NW

having lived down in the Caribbean on and off for decades, I would never ever go on a Caribbean cruise. All of the Islands are very similar, especially given you’re only in port for like 10 hours. It sounds like you could use a USA cruise![]()

Re: trump 0.2: MAQAA
I’m speaking more to the Lesser Antilles where the islands are a lot smallerUNI88 wrote: ↑Sat Jan 24, 2026 9:19 amCaribbean Hen wrote: ↑Sat Jan 24, 2026 6:01 am

You could be in Antigua, St. Lucia, Dominica, Grenada, St Vincent and barely know the difference
Martinique or Guadeloupe, very similar
Curacao is pretty fun
St Martin/st Marteen is both unique and similar at the same time
But you’re right, Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic are very different places. Customer service is really good in The Dominican Republic but Puerto Rico, not so much
You ever wonder why there are so many baseball players from the Dominican and Venezuela? And why Puerto Rican players have diminished steadily?
