In a decent country, Gnome would be impeached and Ice completely re-organized incuding proper LE training including conflict resolution. My uncle taught this as part of the criminal justice program at Spokane Community College. It’s an essential part of what good cops do.

Never have any HCL handy when you need it...... I wonder if there is some kind of household product that would react violently when it comes in contact with face mask material.
That would justify using deadly force against your decrepit ass.

Terrific read.
The British soldiers who shot into the Boston crowd on March 5, 1770, believed they were enforcing the law. They wore the king’s uniform. They carried the king’s muskets. They followed the king’s orders. The colonists they faced were, by the technical definition of their empire, criminals—smugglers, tax evaders, seditionists who refused to respect properly issued writs of assistance that allowed searches without cause.

They were, in the language of their time, just doing their job.

Today, we remember them as tools of tyranny. We built a nation on the principle that their job, and the authority behind it, was illegitimate from the start.

Alex Pretti, according to the same people, was an assassin who deserved to die………

The Revolutionary generation didn’t rebel over abstract philosophy. They rebelled over specific abuses of power that we now call constitutional rights. British soldiers quartered in private homes. Searches conducted without warrants. Seizures of property without due process. Trials held without juries. Armed enforcement of edicts issued by a distant authority accountable to no one they could vote for.

Sounding familiar?

Our Bill of Rights reads like a prosecutor’s indictment of British colonial practice. The Fourth Amendment’s guarantee against unreasonable search and seizure? Written by men who watched redcoats ransack their homes under general warrants. The right to bear arms? Claimed by colonists who knew that disarmament preceded subjugation. The right to due process? Demanded by those who’d seen the king’s justice administered at the point of a bayonet.

Every right we celebrate emerged from brutal experience with unchecked authority.

Now watch what MAGA celebrates.

They cheer when private internal memos leak directing ICE agents to raid homes without warrants because the government will have their back in court. They applaud the explicit promise that constitutional violations will be defended, even rewarded, by those in power. This is the writs of assistance doctrine in modern form—the same sweeping authority to search and seize that the Founders specifically prohibited in the Fourth Amendment, now resurrected and celebrated by people who claim to revere the Constitution.

The rally at the pardoning of insurrectionists seeking to overthrow the government borne of the fight for the revolution that guaranteed our freedom. They ignore the masked jack booted thugs that have arrested hundreds of United States citizens over the past few months because their hatred for non-white people means more than their fake platitudes about liberty for all. No due process needed - we’ll just incarcerate them in foreign jails so they’ll get lost in the system before anyone knows where they are and can’t find them.
