And the reason you have a Donald Trump is because of stupid times…

Gilligan, I've already covered 4 New England states.Caribbean Hen wrote: ↑Sat May 09, 2026 5:46 amAnd the reason you have a Donald Trump is because of stupid times…
Don’t overlook that boy blue
Where is all of this gerrymandering going to lead?
And why aren’t you foaming at the mouth of how gerrymandering worked in the New England states little buddy
The 40% Rule: Across the six New England states (ME, NH, VT, MA, CT, RI), roughly 40% of the population consistently votes for Republican candidates.
In states like Maine, that number was as high as 45% in the 2024 elections.
The Result: Despite millions of GOP voters, Democrats currently hold all 21 U.S. House seats in the region.
State-Specific Highlights:Massachusetts: With 9 seats and roughly 36% of the state voting Republican, there are 0 Republicans in its delegation.
Rhode Island & Connecticut: Both states are entirely represented by Democrats in Congress, even though over 40% of their voters lean red
Look at a map of the Congressional districts in those 4 states and tell me which communities have been broken up by gerrymandering?UNI88 wrote: ↑Fri May 08, 2026 2:00 pm What is it about New England that triggers MAQA so much?Anyone who complains about New England but says nothing or approves of what tennesseestan is doing is a HYPOCRITE.
- Vermont has 1 House Representative - complaining about gerrymandering there is like complaining about Wyoming.
- Maine, New Hampshire & Rhode Island have 2 House Representatives - drawing the map so that Conks could win one would require it's own form of gerrymandering.
- Maine also has a Conk Senator, if a Conk can win a statewide office, surely one can win one of the House districts and low and behold they win the 2nd district often enough to call this a canard.

There are tabulated election results by not only county but by zipcode. With many zipcodes voting overwhelmingly one way or the other election after election, not difficult to gerrymander a new map without even knowing race.UNI88 wrote: ↑Fri May 08, 2026 11:45 amHow did tennesseestan Republicans draw the maps without using race. They specifically stated during the discussion of the bill that the maps were drawn to give Republicans an advantage and that they were drawn only using census data. Voting/party membership is not part of census data. How could they draw the map to give Republicans an advantage? Maybe using race as a proxy for voting/party membership?BDKJMU wrote: ↑Fri May 08, 2026 10:59 am
Lawl what a bunch of leftist drivel from MSDNC. If you capitalize the ‘B’ in black, but don’t for the ‘W’ is white, that tells you right there you are a leftist identity politics race hustler.
Drawing up maps BASED ON RACE, which is precisely what was not only allowed to happen, but forced to happen by the VRA, prior to LA vs Callais, is the very definition of racism. The way to stop discriminating based on race, is to stop discriminating based on race.
In addition, for anyone paying attention to the actual candidates in TN, an old white male democrat in that seat is likely to be replaced by a black female republican. So how is that rACisT?
Let's talk about the MAQA yahoos who bitched and moaned about the lack of Republican representation in New England based on voting patterns. Are they going to speak up against what Tennessee is doing or are they complete and utter partisan hypocrites.

And vice versa making all MAQA yahoos who complained about New England and celebrated texastine, tennesseestan, etc. HYPOCRITES.

So about everyone is hypocrites then..

We live in stupid times and this race to the gerrymandered bottom is doing the oppositie of making America great.

Time for the 74 yr old RHINO Cornyn to retire. He doesn‘t need to serve as a Senator for 30 years until he‘s almost 81.

Despite his age, he's still more competent than pontius paxton. That doesn't even factor in paxton's complete lack of ethics/scruples.

The convergence of his successful intimidation campaign in Indiana and the Supreme Court’s termination of majority-minority districts will tempt the GOP to lunge for more seats. But they do so at their own risk. Not only may Republicans unwittingly create more competitive races for their own members, they will energize Democrats and set back their party in ways that will linger beyond this president.
To you Republicans coveting new seats and considering whether to move forward: caveat emptor.
Let’s give Trump his due, though: Thanks to his singular style and the failures of Joe Biden and Kamala Harris, the president forged a 2024 coalition that breathed new life into the GOP. He made inroads with younger voters and expanded his base of working-class whites to include more racial minorities of modest means.
Had Trump installed a cabinet and pursued an agenda to retain these voters, he would’ve remade the Republican Party and shattered the Democratic Party.
...
Meanwhile, nobody around the president dares tell him no about what’s compounding his problems, namely the perception of the White House “looking like eBay,” remaking the Justice Department into an arm for political revenge, and cult-of-personality vanity projects that would make Kim Jong Un blush.

Well said.UNI88 wrote: ↑Mon May 11, 2026 7:50 am Trump’s Redistricting Push Could Cost Republicans More Than It Gains

It will be interesting to see the races once the dust settles from legal challenges and the primaries. There’s a chance “dummymandering” may be the political word of the year. It sounds like Texas is especially susceptible to this.
And yes…the Dems should be attacking corruption ruthlessly, BUT…they need to learn from the likes of Mandani to remain positive while offering up real policy solutions and following through on them.
I’m not holding my breath on that last part.

Why are you trying to get Democrats assassinated with your inflammatory rhetoric?BDKJMU wrote: ↑Mon May 11, 2026 9:43 amYES! Please dems go full commie for 2026 and 2028..kalm wrote: ↑Mon May 11, 2026 8:29 am Well said.![]()
