Whoever wrote this has no idea what a liberal is nor that civilization was built on the evolutionary benefits of cooperation, democracy, and collective responsibility.

tommy also forgot to include politicians who sell out their country's interests in order to enrich themselves and their family and friends.
I got your point silly and knew you would point it out

You’re a predictable bore

By the way that quote was from 20 years ago
Why did you quote it? Maybe because you think it still applies?

It's just another example of tommy not understanding that his words typically apply to conservatives as well as liberals. He's not as clever as you seem to think he is.

MAQA - putting the Q into qrazy qanon qult qonspiracy theories since 2015.

It will probably be difficult for MAQA yahoos to overcome the Qult programming but they should give being rational & reasonable a try.

I posted this because looking back, many times during my career I felt the same way about individuals in leadership positions…

And never once associated it with whatever their political leanings were

Sowell did say “politicians” … that could be Republicans as well as Democrats

Neither really

Just knowing who was just in it for themselves and which ones actually cared for those beneath them

The quote you based this on is thinly veiled politics. And that’s ok.

Because tommy was equally critical of both sides of the political spectrum and never took shots at liberals ...

“A review of one of the many environmentalist books says that even if you can't do all you would like toward "living green," you can at least "congratulate yourself on taking small steps to improve the planet." That is what environmentalism -- and much else on the political left's agenda -- is really all about, self congratulation.”

This is one of your best examples yet of the idiocy and partisanship of Tommy.

We’ve been restoring 5 acres to native Palouse Prairie habitat. Bees and other pollinators are thriving. Next up will be installing bat houses as part of a USDA program. Pollinators are crucial to the planet including humans. So thank you.

I will indeed pat myself on the back.

His quote is more about how Dems have to feel like they’re doing good something good in the present but oblivious to what bad ideas could bring to the future

Be of course said none of that. Even if it’s what he implied. Most actions have unintended consequences. Whether positive or negative.

Both you and Sowell have benefitted from environmental protection policies as well as individual efforts. Whether you realize it or not.

IOW’s, this quote is still high level stupidity.

The only one talking about environmental efforts are you

So you admit Thomas Sowells quote implied what I explained to you, but then you say he didn’t say it… lol

So you believe when somebody implies something that’s not what they’re saying ….. no wonder you’ve never been able to figure out CH

“But that is how Tom has become iconic simply by being an honest intellectual who follows the facts and is more interested in telling the truth than in being popular. And unfortunately, among intellectuals today that makes you a standout.”
