Regardless, I’ll take the R position on immigrants seriously when they begin jailing illegal employers. Of course that might hurt donations to R’s and Trump.

While the majority of illegals are renters, they do buy houses. Anecdotal: 2 houses down from me there is a guy from Mexico & his family (wife & teenage daughter) who ‘bought‘ the 3 BR rowhome 3 years ago. Except the listed owner is an LLC with the same address as the restaurant this guy worked for (at least used to). He told me he‘s Mexican and someone “helped him with the paperwork“
Now multiply that by a few hundred thousand across the country (or a million or 2).

At THAT point, regardless of this being an obvious scam, she technically qualified for a legal green card via the Special Immigrant Juvenile Status, but her relatives didn’t think that was necessary? Neither did the “largest high school in Nebraska?” Either the relatives are also here illegally and couldn’t go near court systems, and/or that high school intentionally allows illegals to attend without reporting them to the government…which we all know is a serious drain on tax payers—not very Republican of Don Bacon, is it! But then, the NU accepts her as an illegal citizen and she gets to graduate 4 years later. She’s a genius who went 3 pivotal teen years without an education, learned English in less than a year, earned a full-ride scholarship to college, graduated with honors, and passed a pilots training program…but we’re to believe she was totally clueless about her own legal status and is now a victim of tyrannical immigration laws?
The goal of DREAMERS is to break as many freaking laws as possible, graduate from college, enter the professional workforce, and then in their professional fields help other illegal immigrants break our laws until it’s such a huge problem, we citizens are forced to just accept the new, forced system in which we work hard so others can have what we can’t afford for ourselves. Grandfathered Socialism.
