No amount of positive Olympics coverage will overcome the crap that happened on a Chicago street this weekend, and it happens all the time. Chicago is a shithole, cesspool and it's symptomatic of everything that's wrong with America and American politics.

And Olympics LOSE money for the host city. That's a proven fact. So much for the "economic stimulus".

... we're not the only voice in where the Olympics go. Also, any African country that was thinking about hosting the Olympics retracted their bid. Sure, if the IOC chooses Rio that's great... but the other choices are USA, Spain and Japan... all countries that have previously hosted the Olympics, cuz the USA is the only country that has hosted multiple times.... also, by the time the Olympics come around in 2016 it will have been 14 years (7 olympics) since the USA last hosted. I have no problem if another country wants it, but if they choose the US, so be it. Also, since we're talking about a "blip" for a few days, this trip is only a "blip" in Obama's schedule...
