... and when's the last time a Big Sky school besides Montana has won the NC? I believe the CAA has three different teams within the past decade. Big Sky... 2 different teams over the entire history of 1-AA/FCS.BlackFalkin wrote: The CAA.. what a bunch of posers
Keep polishing your Co-Conference champ rings though...
EDIT: Whoops, silly me... I'm short changing a CAA school a National Title here, forgive me UMass. Make that 4 National Titles in the past decade by 4 different schools. Looks like a soft conference to me.

ya know.. that really is fresh material your using there guy... Lets talk about 2009, stop running to the 'classics' vault for ammo. The fact is, JMU isnt what you'd thought they would be.. so dont try to bank off other teams' success or go back in time to help your case.....

Try three current Big Sky teams and a fourth when they were a memberJMU DJ wrote:BlackFalkin wrote: The CAA... I predicted 7-5... they are what I expected this year. Let's quit making up excuses for the short comings of your football program though. You haven't played anybody yet but a bunch of cupcake big sky schools and an FBS program, we'll see how you stack up against the legit teams in the Big Sky and then come back and have this conversation.
Re: 2009 FCS Playoff At-Large Eligibility
Sorry, I was only thinking back to the last team to win besides Montana (1984 - A quarter century), forgot Boise and Idaho St.dbackjon wrote:Try three current Big Sky teams and a fourth when they were a memberJMU DJ wrote:

You Big Sky folks check your Wikipedia page? Under "Big Sky Football Titles" there's a nice "See also" addendum

JMU should dance on the rooftops if they get to 7-5 this year. They're going to be 2-5 before their next shot at a win (Delaware), which means they'll have to win out to get to 6 and 5.JMU DJ wrote:BlackFalkin wrote:ya know.. that really is fresh material your using there guy... Let's not get ahead of ourselves Nancy, it's going to be a long tough road, but the Dukes will be at home for a majority of the season now, so we got that. Mickey actually named a QB , our WRs are coming back, D is looking good (minus the first half of the Hofstra game )... too bad we got a bunch of those teams coming up of their bye week... but yeah, I wouldn't be surprised coming out of this 2-5... I also wouldn't be surprised coming out 4-3AZGrizFan wrote:

Great job and very informative. Just for my own information, isn't UT-Chattanooga of the Southern Conference on post season probation or was that last year?

Re: 2009 FCS Playoff At-Large Eligibility
Perhaps not likely, but it is entirely possible that UMass, JMU and Delaware could each finish the season at 6-5, missing the playoffs and limiting the CAA to four post season participants.

That would suck for Chatty if they actually continued the good season and STILL missed the post-season because of the ban.danefan wrote:Yes, UT-C is ineligible for APR issues.rbhale wrote:Great job and very informative.
