Who the heck knows who wins this prize every year. Its just a way to bring attention to it. And look y'all are all talking about it.
I think its more of a "thank god Bush is gone" type win.
I was rightI do not view it as a recognition of my own accomplishments. But rather as an affirmation of American leadership. ... I will accept this award as a call to action

If there was any doubt as to whether she was savvy enough, tough enough or smart enough to carry the mantle of Vice President, she put those fears to rest tonight. She took on Barack Obama DIRECTLY on every issue and exposed... She did it with warmth and humor, and came across as the every-person....it's becoming mroe and more clear that she was a genius pick for McCain."

What a nice, fancy list. Not a single "accomplshment" on the list. A lot of talk, a lot of "non-peace" related stuff....a lot of stuff that hasn't happened yet, or we won't actually know the RESULTS of for years, even decades.
Admit it; The Nobel Peace Prize has become JUST like American Idol.

So the Norske's have inducted Karl Rove into the Scandinavian Hall of Fame, and nominated Pres Obama for the NPP. Quite a contrast there...

As I stated earlier, because this cheapens all the previous winners (or cheapens it MORE, as AlGore actually began the downward slide) like Mother Theresa, etc.Skjellyfetti wrote:Then why do you care about it so much?
