No it won't.

Michigan didn't play well enough to win...then again Iowa really didn't either.

Look at those stats all you want, NDSU lost...and it wasn't really that close. It was a 22 point win until NDSU scored in the final seconds.

This was by far the worst game UNI had played since probably Delaware in 2007 and they still won by 17.
But the worst six MINUTES they played was the last six minutes against Richmond last year in the semi's. :coffee: :coffee:

What the hell is it with Bison fans?

You start every season demanding that you be crowned king, crowing that you have the best fans, the best dome, and the best program.

Then, when things start heading south, you whine about anything you can come up with.

Met some real cool Bison fans in the lots yesterday before the game. But that was where I stopped being impressed.

The Fargodome staff had no idea what they were doing, the lighting is terrible, and your fans whine about calls more than Iowa.

You don't want UNI players to flip you off? Don't cross the line with heckling. I love heckling opponents and was suprised by the dumb stuff your fans were coming up with.

The play was chippy both ways. It was a physical game.

You guys are running out of things to complain about. It's time to realize that you're having a bad season, and if you can't handle it, fold it up for the year. Don't waste our time with your endless bitching.

I was pumped for my first trip to NDSU, and overall it was a letdown.

Not that I have a dog in this fight..

I agree that hecklers are annoying but as players you're not supposed to respond to it other than your play on the field. Flipping fans off is just ridiculous, and from what I can tell UNI players have a reputation of getting into it with fans in hostile environments.

We're God's gift to UNI.

I've been reading TTBF's posts here and been enjoying Bisonville.

You were high on NDSU in the preseason and then jumped on the SDSU parade when you guys weren't performing.

Not sure why it kills you so much that UNI is good. SDSU hasn't beaten anyone of consequence and almost lost to MSU yesterday.

You shoot down UNI every chance you get and it's kinda lame.

I think the Bison are really a 3-3 team with a few bad breaks. We were playing in a new enviroment that was pretty hostile despite being somewhat empty. I'll take a 2 score win and will continue to state that we are a Top 5 team and have as good of a chance to win the FCS title as anyone.

Not realy Rob, I have UNI as the #3 team in the country. UNI is a great team. The only time I shoot them down is when God's Gift to the MVFC starts slamming the Bison. SDSU should be UNI's biggest challenge this year. Sorry if I am not on the God's Gift to the MVFC bandwagon. I wouldn't add Cap'n Cat or D1B to the God's Gift part, they are really cool guys and when we talk, we have great respect for each others school.

We're not jealous, and it will be SIU, not SDSU who will be UNI's biggest challenge. Maybe twice.

You could be right. I was looking at it as a dome team on a cold outdoor field in Brookings.

Some of the UNI fans have been acting a bit annoying/arrogant this season. It is rather unbecoming.

As far as the whole dome team struggling on a cold outdoor field in Brookings....
I guess the Bison are experts in that regard.... :coffee:

have fun down there next week.

run it up touchdown by UNI... 42-20 so it looks like a blowout for the boxscore watchers... 2 minutes left
Nah, I stayed until the end of the game. Thus didn't have any problems with Bison fans, as they had already left. Tailgate lot was pretty empty by the time I got out there too.

As for the "run it-up td".... I have absolutely no problem with it. NDSU was still playing hard, so why shouldn't UNI? Besides, our starters needed to play a full 4 quarters, since they hadn't done so since week 1. *shrug*
TwinTownBisonFan wrote:I will say the Bison moved on the UNI defense better than anyone this year... (even Iowa frankly) and if UNI plays like this against SIU - they are cooked
I won't argue with you on that one. Definitely not the Panthers best game. Too much sloppiness, and too many dumb penalties. And they definitely need to play better if they want to beat a quality opponent.

The NDSU fans/students were heckling the UNI bench the whole game. Sure, the players ideally should just ignore them. But I don't have a problem with taunting them after the UNI team just had a big play or something. *shrug*

I'll have to review the PI call, but I seem to remember there was some early contact before the ball got there. And NDSU was holding UNI's defensive players all game. *shrug*

Actually, a little bit of wet weather this week would be to NDSU's advantage, imo..

UNI fans say they played a bad game but they didnt. They played an excellent game. They got forty some plays is all. They did what they had to and won. They played well and didnt make any mistakes.

The BISON kicked them up and down the field all day, had a terrible day making mistake after mistake. The penalties they suffered cost a TD and continued a scoring drive for UNI. Twin towers is right, they were bogus, but even with that NDSU should have won if they had been playing well.

No, UNI played very well.

The 500 plus yards the BISON put up are a clear message to the rest of the division. The UNI defense is suspect, very suspect. The offense is solid.

UNI did play a bad game...take it from someone who has saw every single play that UNI has run this year....most of them two or more times....

Saturday's game was the worst game UNI has played in a long damn time.

NDSU had a good game plan in place, really no question about that. UNI didn't execute well either though

Trying to figure out how you come out the victor of a 42-27 game ON THE ROAD and you're a fvcking goat? Do you NDSU people have any idea how ridiculous you sound? Gil, you weren't there. TTBF, you weren't there. WTF?

Five hundred yards, six hundred yards, seven hundred yards, WTF? You didn't do the things that UNI did to get into the endzone. Walk away with a little dignity, will ya? Take your frustrations out on the next team. You lost, you lost big.

I was there. A couple comments:

1. You could tell from the very beginning that confidence was on UNI's side and that they were going to walk out victorious. The Herd seemed scared and apprehensive.

2. There is no comparison between the UNI Dome and the Fargodome, solely because the latter is not a football venue, it looks more suited to hosting Ringling Brothers - Barnum and Bailey circuses. The lighting was insufficient. The UNIDome is a football stadium and as much as I did really enjoy the comforts of the Fargodome, it is not a football arena.
Nevermind that it looks like a mall from the outside. While making my way thorugh the streets of Fargo to get there (annoying), I was expecting some massive, manly looking facility and what I got was the decidedly unmanly urge to go in there and get 10% off my underwear purchase at the JC Penney's store inside.

3. Did not run into a single azzhole there at Fargo. The tailgating was top-notch and everyone was friendly as heck to us. When my son go cold tailgating, a couple of nice Bison moms herded him into warm tents and fed him goodies while Cap'n Dad drank beer outside. Wonderful people. Met lakesbison, MNBison, WYOBISONMAN and several others. All terrific people! Well, lakes was a little weird.

Move the fvck on, both sides.

#2 is an amazing point.

The Fargodome isn't a dome...their website admits it. It looked like it is more of a concert/rodeo setting than anything else...maybe hockey.
