Dbacks still up after 5. Randy has thrown 90 pitches - will he pitch the 6th?

2 on, 1 out for the Dbacks, Johnson is pinch-hit for.

After some initial shakiness, good outing for Randy.

All for naught, Romero and Young couldn't get runners home. Now up to the bullpen.

Last night's loss falls squarely on the shoulders of one Stephen Drew. :x :x :x

And Mark Reynolds' error lead to three runs - as much to blame as Drew

Didn't see that one.

We'd better find a closer STAT.   :o :o

Yup - that is going to be an issue. Only consolation is that Valverde has actually been worse for Houston than Lyon has been for us.

That was predictable as hell.

I'd like to see Qualls in that role.

Nice win today for the Snakes 4-1 to take the series.

Brandon Webb wins his fourth game of the season, and added 2 RBI's to boot!

Webb has as many wins as the Nats do.

Greg Maddux was once again the Dbacks' bitch, giving up 6 runs in the first inning alone, as the Dbacks cruised to a 9-0 spanking of the Padres.

Maddux is now 2-11 in the regular season, 0-2 in post-season to Arizona, the only NL team he has a losing record with.

Conor Jackson had two triples, a single and a HR. He could have stopped at second for a double on his last triple for the cycle, but kept going for his second triple of the night.

Dbacks up in the bottom of the 8th, leading 4-3.

Padres starter Chris Young kept the Dbacks off-kilter, allowing only three hits and 2 runs over 6 innings.
Weary Pads reliever Joe Thatcher (from indiana State) promptly gave up three hits and two runs to give the Snakes the lead for now.

Finally a pitching change for Whale's Vagina, after the Dbacks score 6 runs (5 unearned).

Co-Jack grounds into Fielders Choice, recording two outs in the inning.

This one had me worried for a little bit, jon. San Dog's CY looked pretty damned unhittable for 5 innings. Wheels kind of came off for him in the sixth, but dayum, their bullpen was shakey. The 8th inning ROCKED. This team is on a MISSiON after gettin' rolled by Colorado last year....this is gonna be a fun ride this year!

I figured if we could get to their bullpen, we'd win - they were still tired from Thursday night.

After a rocky outing last night by Johnson, Micah gets the ship righted tonight. Big night for two of my fantasy teamers (Reynolds & Byrnes)....nice opposite fielder for Hudson, and Micah was lights out AGAIN. Damn, I wish I'd drafted him too...Oh well, I've got Webby going tomorrow night, as we go for #15!!!

Great game...Micah is now 4-0, hits as well.

Different guys contributing every night - we are going to be hard to beat over a series.
