I think NDSU is going to be a force to be reckoned with as soon as they are playoff eligible.

Of all the stadiums I have personally been to "The Hole" in Lake Charles is the nicest. However, the improvements that have been made to Bowers (SHSU) this season have made it much better.

Re: FCS Stadium Competition
Alright voting will begin tomorrow. Tiebreaker round!
Here's how it will go.
To make this the most accurate fan poll re: stadiums; the top 4 stadiums I posted in my first post will get 4 seeds; they will take on the other 4 schools. The competition will be picked out of a hat to make it fair; so we could see Stambaugh vs. Cowboy Stadium for all I know.
Top 4 Seeds [Once again in no particular order]:
1. Montana
2. Delaware
3. Youngstown St
4. Chattanooga
Two For Sure Locked in for bracket:
-McNeese St.
-Appalachian St.
Vote-In Rounds, fighting for final 2 spots:
Cal-Poly vs. James Madison
Eastern Kentucky vs. North Dakota State
--------------------------------
After the 1st Round is done, we will move away from the poll approach and start a new thread for the Final 4. Instead of voting in a poll; I will have you post your top 4 in order; I feel that is the most accurate way of doing this. This site will award the Top 3 FCS Stadiums.
Side Note: We plan on writing a press release for the winners of the top 3 stadiums [schools] and send it to the media in those cities [states]. I know for a fact the news in Youngstown would mention that Stambaugh was voted the #3 best stadium in I-AA if informed. This could be a big break for the site to get ChampionshipSubdivision.com in the newspapers and the tv media!

Re: FCS Stadium Competition
Are you intending this to be regularly playoff-eligible schools only? I find it hard to believe that these stadia, with the POSSIBLE exception of WA-Griz (not even sure about that) can beat the upper Ivies.
SuperHornet's Athletics Hall of Fame includes Jacksonville State kicker Ashley Martin, the first girl to score in a Division I football game. She kicked 3 PATs in a 2001 game for J-State.
Re: FCS Stadium Competition
They can't. Nor can they really compare their stadiums to those HBC schools when they're full and the bands are competing. For what it's worth, I am really impressed with the foundation for Cal Poly and the potential to expand. Where's UC Davis in the polls? Had to throw that out.SuperHornet wrote:Are you intending this to be regularly playoff-eligible schools only? ucdtim would likely be the best POC, but I don't believe that the Manure Pile's new stadium is done yet.

Limited to Playoff Eligable schools.
I know the Ivy's would dominate though.

Playoff eligible plus those who will be playoff eligible soon? Doesn't NDSU have another year in pugatory? (Dumb NCAA rule, IMO)guinzone wrote:Limited to Playoff Eligable schools.

Re: FCS Stadium Competition
They will be able to compete in a year, and that's close enough for me to put them up there. And guess what, they were voted in in the vote in rounds; if you don't agree with the choice; I'm sorry, but NDSU was voted into their matchup with Finley Stadium.catbooster wrote:Playoff eligible plus those who will be playoff eligible soon? Like I said, no Ivy League in this competition, not sure why GSU was never brought up before, I agree they could've been in the vote-in rounds, but not enough support.MSUGrad wrote:I really like Georgia Southern and Findley Stadium; where are all the Ivy League pictures?

Football should not be played indoors, no matter what the weather is like. I will vote for a high school stadium before I vote for any indoor facility including the Pro's, sorry.

I totally agree! And they should'nt have tracks around them either. I would have voted for the App St stadium over Youngstowns except for the track around App St.polsongrizz wrote:Football should not be played indoors, no matter what the weather is like. only one post on the entire board and its this... I'm pretty much convinced it was simply to give Montana 1 pointtom5393 wrote:Chattanooga- [1st-4pts]

yeah, that's my homered opinion... but an objective one could easily come to the same conclusion
now for a homer suggestion... discredit it
Re: FCS Stadium Competition
As a student of Delaware I get to enjoy the atmosphere every game...22000 capacity and the only school to average over 20000 fans the past 8 seasons in a row (Montana wasn't that high at the beginning but now they pasted Delaware). The night games are amazing and the field is well the best money can buy for over 1 million dollars (natural grass). I still picked Montana #1 because that place looks awesome but Delaware technically was voted # 1 fans last year, wasn't said by a Delaware fan either ...http://www.collegesportingnews.com/arti ... leid=83095 Them and Montana go back and forth every other year anyway...The picture of Youngstown St. is a great one but that shows their best side, not the smaller side (20600+ capacity)...Besides hosting the Championship game there is no reason Chattanooga should be on here...terrible field (as seen on TV) and the stadium isn't all that great either (was there for Delaware's Title in 2003)
Re: FCS Stadium Competition
Here are some better pictures of Delaware Stadium, not the lame one that was on the site that shows it from far back. As you scroll down you will see more game pictures with people there and the lights on.

Re: FCS Stadium Competition
Those are some nice pictures of the stadium. I have written down all the votes and rankings so far and let me say, the #2-4 spots are very close the way it is shaping up. About midway through yesterday, it was shaping up to be a route between 1-2 and 3-4, but now it is very close.UD1Hens wrote:Here are some better pictures of Delaware Stadium, not the lame one that was on the site that shows it from far back. Montana is clearly out ahead and won't lose the #1 spot, and I will leave it at that. Remember you have til: 11:59PM tonight to vote and this competition will be over. I should have the results within 30 minutes of that time and we will award the Top 3.

Where's Sac State's aluminum pile track, er I mean football facility? The way they fill up every Saturday should give them a shot.SuperHornet wrote:ucdtim would likely be the best POC, but I don't believe that the Manure Pile's new stadium is done yet.

Certainly not the one at the Manure Pile, Huckleberry.
BTW, I never made a claim for Hornet Field to be included in this poll. Quit trolling, dude.
