Typical Yankee behavior...
Pettit throws a ball - it's called a ball... and after the inning he goes to the umpire and complains that the ball he threw (that was a ball) should be called a strike...

Typical :ohno:

Is it just me, or did the "celebration" look a little contrived? It's like the didn't really know how to act....like they knew they should be excited, but didn't really know what to do....

Hey, Mr. Sensitive, that wasn't meant as a "shot". It's just that I would expect them to be MORE excited after just having won the first WS in many of those guys' careers....yet they didn't act all that excited.....wierd.

How can you really be that excited with they type of players they bought? Teixiera, A-rod, Jeter, CC, Matsui, Posada, Burnett, Rivera, Cano. The list goes on and on of all stars and future hall of famers. Real tough to win with a team like that... Its a minor miracle that it went 6 games.

I have a lot of respect for Jeter, Rivera and Pettitte.

A-Roid is a first class phony, I'm sorry he finally won.

Congrats to the Yankees, they were the better team.

La dee fucking da. I'd argue here, but arguing online is like winning the special fucking olympics, either way you're still retarded.

Congrats Yanks (minus A-rod, Tex and Swish.... dbags) and WS MVP Godzilla, he owned the Phils... the rest are cool in my book too.

Now, Phils re-sign Lee... bring Drabek up .... get some Bull Pen help, and let's get back next year. All the bats should should still be there next year from what I can recall.

Utley on til 2013
Howard til 2011
Ibanez til 2011
Rollins til 2010
Werth til 2010

Victorino needs to be resigned.... buuuuuut, there is talent in Redding with Brown and Taylor

Phils have a club option on Lee for next year which they will take.... they are currently trying to work out a long term contract.

The Phils should be in the mix again next year. The biggest question mark is closer - Lidge will probably start the season as the closer, I hope he can return to his 2008 form.

Congrats to the best player in baseball, A-Rod, on winning his first ring!!
Way to carry the team to the pennant and into the World Series. Without you, they would not have even made the playoffs.
