I try to take everyone on their own merits but they (blacks & whites) didn't fly any planes into two buildings because they hate this country and what it stands for. That is my point, these acts are changing my opinion of a religion their believers.....

4. Had publicly stated that he was against being deployed to Iraq.

I wouldn't let it get to you Putter. Everybody has their biases (some more than others) but in the post 9/11 world it's understandable to have a little twinge of bias against Muslims. I think the media probably feeds that fear to some extent when they focus on a person's religious affiliation, but that's where we are 8 yrs later. I still believe it's a few bad apples that we hear about most of the time and you really can't label all
Muslims as terrorists.

I don't think his motive is clear yet. He was going to be deployed late this month. He was not thrilled about it. That could be the reason.

Doesn't he have that same thing in common with a gazillion other soldiers who DIDN'T shoot up a deployment center?

I'd say given the following choices:

1) He was mad about being deployed

OR

2) He is a Muslim with what is apparently a long string of warning signs ignored (although good luck trying to kick a guy like that out until AFTER he's killed people)
