Depends who you ask. Radicals might, most might not. I don't care for their life style but my God did give them a free will and therefore are allowed to go about their business.

I am not joking. I understand and sympathize with your concerns, but it appears to me that gay rights trump every other consideration in your book and affect both your judgment and powers of observation.
How do you figure? How does my quest for equality affect ANYONE else? How does it affect my powers of observation or judgement?

Take children and schools out of the equation and I probably support 100% of the rest of your political agenda.

But here is the cold hard truth. You can teach a mammal and many other creatures just about any damn behavior, such as homosexual behavior. Child molesters do it all the time. Once the kids get sexualized before a certain age, they cannot get rid of the behavior in later life. Kidnappers manipulate behavior as well. It's called the Stockholm syndrome. So regardless of whether or not you think you are hard wired to be gay, you have absolutely no right to teach children to be gay.

Let people be whatever they want (with consenting adults) when they reach the age of majority, and teach children not to hate or bully others, but otherwise keep your hands completely off until then.

So as long as you define equality to include raising children to be gay and teaching the gay lifestyle in school, you are the bigot.

The reason this legislation will likely not pass in Uganda is because of opposition from the Roman Catholic Church and the growing influence of the Church in that country. Catholics are now 40% of the Ugandan population and, although they remain a religious minority, they are now more numerous than any other Christian group.

(Incidentally, the law in question imposes a death penalty for being HIV positive and having unprotected sex without disclosing it -- not simply because someone is gay. No doubt, this is regressive legislation, but it does not impose the death penalty for being gay).

Africa is dying due to overpopulation and AIDS. The Ugandan law is an unfortunate reaction to this reality: a reality exasperated by the roman catholic church and its policies on condom use and birth control.

When it's all said and done, the roman catholic church will be credited with the deaths of billions in Africa - yet another black mark on the most brutal tyranny mankind has ever witnessed - the roman catholic church.

Joe, nice try. :ohno:

Jeff, do you think before you write? Look, I know the schtick of your "clan" to blame the church for everything, but these statements are ridiculous. Like most of the "enlightened" Western World, you would rather simply have Africans go away, by "sharing" wth them birth control and abortion to limit their numbers, than actually generously share the resources of the world with them -- as the church urges.

People die in Africa because it is some body's economic interest for that to happen. And to "solve" this problem, it is much cheaper to give them birth control and abortion than to heed pesky messages about sharing what we have with others.

The Catholic Church is growing rapdily in Africa because, given the choice between the message of the Church and the message of people like you, the African people are responding to the message that tells them that they are a good and worthy people. They understand that the message of the secular western world is that they are burden -- underscored by our willingness to give them birth control and abortion, which says loudly and clearly, "Go away. You are burden to us."

I See you have fallen for the anti-gay Bullshit. I thought you were smarter than that.

Homosexuality is NOT a learned behavior, unlike religion, prejudice and hatred.

Who taught you to be straight? NO ONE. The bolded part of your post above is one of the biggest crocks of unsubstanciated shit I have ever read on here.

There is NO ONE Teaching anyone to be gay. Plenty of people teaching kids to hate. Shame on YOU.

Another huge pile of crap. If you mean by traditional values the right to supress equality, to make others second class citizens and attack hatred, then yes, those MUST BE ATTACKED.

But nothing any gay lobbyists has EVER DONE will affect your, or any church in the United States. EVER.
Nothing but scare tactics on the pro-hatred side.

So either you are being dumb, or not paid attention.

I know many Christian's who are very accepting, and helping fight for the rights of marriage for homosexual couples. You didn't state that you were going after a smaller number of them. You just generalized Christians. I was actually on the GLBT Commitie at Hawkeye CC before I graduated. I have attended UNI Proud meetings (the GLBT group on campus).

I'm sure you didn't mean to generalize like that, but as a Christian who fully supports gay marriage and rights I hate being lumped in with those that don't.

Since the LGBT lobby started aggressively attacking traditional values, especially Christians.

Either you have not paid attention or you are being intentionally disingenuous.

I was hopeful you would not do so, Jon, but in your blind hatred you missed the point of my earlier post and attacked me for what I DID NOT say.

How do you figure? How does my quest for equality affect ANYONE else? How does it affect my powers of observation or judgement?

Either someone is a bigot, or not. Either someone is for equality, or not.

That's right native, keep lying to yourself. I doubt that any parent is saying to their children. "All right Johnny, be gay." "Have a great day at school, be gay." Great job on the A Karen, be a lesbian." "You go girl, lick that carpet."

Congratulations on having the stupidest post of the year. Really? REALLY?!?!?!

Yeah, good luck with that Joe. :ohno:
Luck? Have you seen the growth numbers for the Church in Africa?

While Catholic Relief Organizations are on the ground in Africa, providing food, clothing, education, medicine, and other life-sustaining services, American secularists drink their wine and eat their hors d'oeuvres at their trendy receptions, and lament that OUR GOVERNMENT MUST send more condoms and contraceptives to Africa, and blame the Pope for Africa's problems. Clueless.

My family supports two children in Africa through Catholic Relief Services. The next time we send them a package, send me two condoms. I'll let them know the condoms are from you.
