Unfortunately, I think it is not a winnable war and I was almost hoping he played to his liberal supports and just pulled out of both major wars, the african horn, and the philippines and called it a day.

Who was the last person to conquer that country? Many countries have lost many lives trying to conquer that area. Alexander the Great didn't have an easy time taking it. The Islamic and Mongolian conquests weren't walks in the park, if memory serves me correct.Chizzang wrote:Russia spent 10 years there at war (ultimately for nothing)...dgreco wrote: He did, and he said that it is the war to win.

True dat.ALPHAGRIZ1 wrote:Any war is winnable if you dont make rules to impede your ability to win it.
Americans have lost their will to win things like this.

Well, until someone can actually articulate what winning is, it's not a lack of will, but an inability to focus & prioritize.....if someone beats his head against the wall, is it lack of will that keeps the wall from failling?native wrote:True dat.ALPHAGRIZ1 wrote:Any war is winnable if you dont make rules to impede your ability to win it.

The worlds largest "BINGO" sign needs to drop from the ceiling..!!!
It's hard to get congress much less American citizens behind something you can't explain and have no idea how to win...

You're a moron. He promised to increase the troops in Afghanistan throughout the campaign. One of the first things he did as President was order ~20,000 more troops there. You don't really pay attention do you?ALPHAGRIZ1 wrote:Yeah hes gonna bring all the troops home from Iraq and everywhere else...![]()

I always thought that dropping sterilization powder/spray over the Middle East would be a good way to go. Then they just eventually die off. That whole idea sounds so Nazi-like though.native wrote:I can articulate winning, but it would not be very PC...Appaholic wrote:
