First NDSU football team, 1894:
Dated February 17, 1926 when NDSU was the dominate hockey power in North Dakota. The depression ended hockey in 1932:
NDSU Mens basketball team January 10, 1923. I dont know if you can see it or not but some jerseys say Aggies and others BISON. The name change was underway:
This is the student parade down Broadway in Fargo on November 6, 1920 preceding that years game with our greatest rival of all time, Fargo College. Some students are holding instruments and spectators are walking along with the marchers. North Dakota Agricultural College won the football game by a score of 7 to 0. NDSU played Fargo College 15 times between 1900 and 1921 winning 11, losing 3 and tying 1. In 1922 Fargo College closed. Their football field was south of 5th street in Island park. There are softball fields there now. Its fun to look back on rivals you no longer play:

Agree....that's what I noticed & admired in both places...love a place that honors it's history...Ursus A. Horribilis wrote:Man those are some awesome old pics guys! UM has a pretty big photo library from the past 8 yrs. or so but I don't know how they are coming with getting the old photo's digitized.
Interesting things about Red's and particularly the Mo Club downtown is that it is a history lesson when you walk in the place. The walls are covered with old pics all over the walls. I love the oldern times pics man.

Is that the Atlantic City Convention Center? I saw Southside Johnny and the Asbury Jukes in concert there once. I remember High School playoff games were also played there in the 70's.

Yep, the Boardwalk Bowl was held inside the AC Convention Center.CAA Flagship wrote:Aaahhh, the zipper-head era.93henfan wrote: Delaware's 1896 squad:

Lol @ the zipper heads. I love the capes on the 1896 squad, and the 1901 squad seems to have procured the first set of shoulder pads in existence!

Re: Historical Photos
Hey FargoBison, thats not Dacotah Field at its largest capacity. The BSA isnt there. When the BSA was built Dacotah Field was moved about 15 yards west. An addition was added to the North Stands. You can see it today because the concrete looks newer.
My bad, I just took another look. The BSA might be there because it was at the east endzone. I see now the pic is looking west. Beautiful stadium wasnt it?
