Not any different than a team from Texas being in the same division as three teams from NY, PA and DC
well except that Dallas plays its season in the NFC East whereas Real Salt Lake plays its season as a Western Conference team and then gets shifted to the Eastern Conference for the playoffs.
The best four teams in each conference should be in the playoffs not the best three in each then the next best two overall...
This isnt anything like the Texas team being in same division as NY, PA and DC.

Makes up for last years Eastern Conference final between Columbus and New York.
Its weird that the league is against a single table format yet the playoffs are seeded like one.
