Hopefully he could put together a better one than our AD did this year.... I saw a proposed schedule for next years that wasn't the one Travis has over here.... I was horrified.

The one where we end the season in Maine? Yeah, not thrilled about that one either, I always liked having the Towson bye the last week of the season.

And with 10 teams now, assuming URI doesn't drop, why wouldn't everyone play a 9 game conference schedule? Too hard to buy out some teams or are some clinging too tightly to their DII games?

Only 2 played a DII this season- UD (West Chester) and maine (St Cloud). Most teams already have 3 OOC Div I lined up, including a I-A. Aren't allowed to play 12 games. Playing 9 conference games ISN'T an option.

How are the CAA teams that have both of these teams on their 2010 schedule going to fill these games? It's not unprecedented, so could they schedule CAA teams that are not already on their schedule as OOC games? I want to say Delaware did this most recently, but I'm just guessing...

CSN reporting that for 2010 the CAA is scrapping divisions and will play an 8 team round robin schedule.

My guess is that the CAA will drop the two division concept for the next two years and go with a single.. ten team league. Each CAA team would then play eight of the nine other CAA schools and still be able to play three OOC games. Once both ODU and Georgia St enter the league (2012).. the CAA could return to the two divisions by placing ODU and Georgia St in the South and moving Villanova and Delaware to the North.

That seems to be the most sensible solution at this time.

ODU enters in 2011. Only will be one year with 10 team- next season.
