Donks Continue to Fear Palin
Received this email yesterday from the Minnesota DFL Chairman. There are a lot of homeless, jobless, hungry people in the area that the donations could be better used to serve. xsmhx
Sarah Palin brought her dog-and-pony show to Minnesota today, holding a book signing and attending a high-dollar fundraiser to raise a lot of money for the House Republicans. Now we need your support to continue to fight against the embarrassing, divisive, partisan rhetoric that she, Tim Pawlenty and the Marty Seifert-Pat Anderson-Tom Emmer crowd are spouting across our state.
We are going to continue to battle that rhetoric with our positive message of change with you, our grassroots network. In the last election cycle we had nearly 4,500 supporters give $25 or less. Can you give $5, $10, $25 today?
Sarah Palin’s book, Going Rogue, is little more than a diary of personal grievances from the 2008 campaign and another publicity stunt in an effort to make herself seem relevant and legitimate. But recent polls show high disapproval ratings and that only a very small minority considers her qualified to be president. Nevertheless, Republicans across our state have jumped on her tea-party bandwagon, including Tim Pawlenty and all the Republican gubernatorial candidates.
We need your help to counteract the partisan, sensationalistic language. Please give $5, $10 or any amount today!

they are all in bed together making their livings off of all of us. They should all be shot and flayed whilst hanging from the gallows in the public square while the children bathe in their blood and the vultures consume their rotting flesh.

If the Republicans want to REALLY scare the Democrats then they should trot out a socially moderate fiscal conservative that is for a strong immigration policy and domestic security. Now THAT would scare the fvck out 'em!

Maybe not, but that aint his point, Galelio.
"Sarah Palin absolutely blew AWAY the audience tonight. If there was any doubt as to whether she was savvy enough, tough enough or smart enough to carry the mantle of Vice President, she put those fears to rest tonight. She took on Barack Obama DIRECTLY on every issue and exposed... She did it with warmth and humor, and came across as the every-person....it's becoming mroe and more clear that she was a genius pick for McCain."

Just trying to get a rise out of donkutopia, the Republicans do the same thing. Send the message to send money so "fill in the blank candidate" doesn't get elected. Maybe it's not so much fear as it is baiting the hook and fishing for suckers.TwinTownBisonFan wrote:

Re: Donks Continue to Fear Palin
Other than the Obama administration, how many people think the economy is going to recover any time soon? I've read predictions ranging from a flat jobless recovery to a w-shaped recession where the next dip is worse than the last. In any case, the working class is who will continue to suffer and there will sit Obama, the former mass appeal change artist turned friend of Wall Street heading into the 2012 election with having changed very little for the large block of middle class voters. The leading Republican candidate is Mitt Romney, but he too is a friend of Wall Street and certainly viewed as a member of the wealthy elite.
If things don't get better, I think there's a chance for a serious populist uprising of which a charming, charismatic, non-establishment, from humble beginnings, Palin candidacy could take advantage.
God forbid.

Mainjeff described me to a tee. And millions of other disenfranchised "conservatives" as well. The problem is that that person would never make it through the primary cycle.

I thought that I saw Wedgie standing in line in front of Borders yesterday.
http://billingsgazette.com/news/local/a ... mode=storyFans meet Palin, get coveted autograph in the book
It was a lovefest.
Former Republican vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin descended on Billings and left no book unsigned Tuesday during a 21/2-hour blitz of Borders bookstore.
The conservative celeb did not address the crowd of several hundred people and did not take media questions, but she signed copies of her new memoir, “Going Rogue,” with a blistering proficiency that would have left Henry Ford breathless.
“So nice to meet you. Thanks for coming,” said Palin, shaking the hand of a young father with a toddler on his hip, followed by a petite older woman dressed as if she were headed to Christmas Mass, followed by a barrel-chested man in Carhartt bib overalls. The fans kept coming two books at a time. Palin kept signing.

Never happen, notwithstanding the growing number of independents. Parties provide organization and some ideological coherence. If the indies trend left, the Dems win; if they trend right, the GOP wins. People have been waiting for the great unifying "centrist party" for years, and the USA has never produced one.mainejeff wrote:Both parties are heading toward extinction.......a Palin Presidency gives the Republicans a leg up.kalm wrote:If things don't get better, I think there's a chance for a serious populist uprising of which a charming, charismatic, non-establishment, from humble beginnings, Palin candidacy could take advantage.
