Succinctly put. A generalization that is, nonetheless, very true.

I am excited about the new health care bill and find it a gross miscarriage of justice that Republicans want to defeat this. Crooked insurance providers have provided nothing while gaining everything at the expense of Americans over the years. Expanding Medicare for folks to buy in as soon as they reach 55 is a sign that we as a nation are progressing. To the tea bagging crowd, get a life and go home. You who have always drawn VA pensions, thank you for your service, but it's a government ran plan. Same with SS benefits, disability, etc, etc.

Nope, once the black man got in office, THEN you decided to get on your high post all the while you've let a white man fuck you for decades and said NOTHING. Now, FINALLY, America may be able to stand head and shoulders with the rest of the developed world when it comes to health care. If this bill does pass, you can BET YOUR ASS Mr. Obama gets another term. Seriously, it is good to know how this will help others out. and to all Christian conservatives bitching about paying for it, heed the words of Jesus himself, "TO WHOM MUCH IS GIVEN, MUCH IS REQUIRED." Thank you and have a good freaking day!!! :thumb:

My Democrat boss was bitching the other day about my Republican co-worker taking time off to drive a disabled person to the clinic for some test. Boss lost a couple hours of work that he didn't have to pay for, co-worker lost a couple hours worth of pay, but was rewarded with a good feeling inside despite the guilt trip the boss was trying to send him on.

and the republican boss in the office across the hall from ours was just bitching about one of his staffers being off on maternity. he actually wants to "fire her fat pregnant ass and hire some smokin' hot piece of ass"

then he adds that when she does "decide" to get off her ass and get back to work, she better be bottle feeding because he doesn't want her squirting milk all over her computer, he doesn't have a new one in the buget.

Sad thing is, he was stone faced dead serious.

I don't know about you but I earn(ed) every f-ing dime I have... nobody has given me sh-t.

I own a business (that I bet my life's savings on by funding the seed money myself) and don't have a salary, I pay myself LAST after I sign my employees' checks. I am only paid based on what I produce after all expenses are met. Government compliance costs and taxes are exhorbitant and eat away at my earnings yet I have virtually no say so in how the money I EARN that the government confiscates is spent.

So please tell me again how much I am given... and yes, I PAY for my own health insurance.

You sound blessed and very successful...you have an interesting attitude about your success
My brother has his own company - pays his employees first - pays huge taxes and has all the same issues you have mentioned in your post

He attributes all of his success to his employees
Ive never heard him make the absurd claim "I've earned every dime I ever made"
I've never heard him complain so much about a system that benefits him so much

Some of the most annoying Conservative traits are:
1) Extreme Self Aggrandizement
The idea that you've somehow made it all and done it all by yourself
2) Delusional Federal persecution

Your post makes you seem like a dangerously small minded person...

Did your brother put up the capital to start the company? If he hadn't, there would be no employees to make him successful.
Did his employees risk their capital? No. If they had, they'd be called partners, not employees.
He might never have said, "I've earned every dime I've ever made", but the truth is he probably did.
Praising one's employees is a decent thing to do, but the bottom line is that employees are easier to find than risk capital.

I would imagine your bro is in a different line of work as me. In my business every dollar that comes through the door is generated by me or somebody that I hired and manage, but at this point I am only paid on what I produce, so yes, I am responsible for 100% of the success or failure of my endeavors. I am also on the hook with the state and HUD for everybody's actions who work under my license and HUD approval, so again, it is my show. I am also solely accountable to my customers. That's just the way it is.

I apologize if the reality of my situation makes me seem snug or small minded but perhaps, before slinging that kind of mud my way, you should understand more about the nature of my craft. Nothing I printed in either of my posts is not true, and there are a few guys who piost here who are familiar with the business I've built and know that to be fact.

I can vouch for blueball's work ethic and his trials and tribulations. I also don't think Brother Chizzang really meant to zing Brother blueballs and get personal. You both have good points and, in the end, the system does work to reward achievers, although not to the extent they desire, often.
