He's a monster - great hands - good cover guy - reads QB's like a news paper
Any word or cool rumors..?

He's got another year for us. He'll probably be drafted though and get a shot somewhere after next year.

THERE IT IS FOLKS!! PROOF that App plays in cold weather. Yay!! Now we NEVER need to mention the weather again. At least for this game.
Sorry to derail the thread. Haven't seen him, but the stats say he's a beast. MT would be wise to just throw it OVER him.

Good luck throwing it over him. He's the best pro prospect on the team. Thank god he's just a Junior

Re: Mark Legree... APP ST.
I haven't been able to locate the link from before the season. But, at the beginning of the season, one publication had him as the 6th best safety coming out in the 2011 draft. He's a great player, he has stepped in well for Corey "the original superman" Lynch. But, I'm a little biased, picked up his jersey his freshman year when he was riding the pine.

no, that was at Michigan, and dubya didn't make that trip. He's about done, I need to get a new cutout to take...any suggestions? Thank you for the respect that you would ask me. Since I was asked I will chime in on LeGree.danefan wrote:SmallCollegeFootballFan what say yee???
He is the BEST pro prospect on ASU's team without a doubt. He has good size, can really run, will hit you, covers well, great range, good hips, and very productive. The only downside to the kid is that he did not redshirt and thus I would say he is physically not ready for the NFL yet but he has what it takes to start one day. He has all of the physical tools. As of right now I have him rated as the top small school prospect for 2011. I gave him a 4th-5th round grade. The beautiful thing about him is that when he gets to the NFL you still need to give him 2 years before you should expect to see his best ball because you always give a rookie a year before you start to judge him on whether he is a bust or not and then he did not redshirt so he really should get a free pass for two years. The funny thing about it is that he won't need but one year to start producing for whoever drafts him. The NFL is well aware of him. I have sent his name in already to the teams in my personnel reports that go out twice a week to them. I talked to a pro liason this past week who played both South Carolina and App State and he told me that LeGree was better than any safety that South Carolina has and I fully agree.
Another player in that league to watch for is WR Brian Quick. He has the most potential of anyone there but needs to bulk up some, get his head right, and become a consistent threat.
Other players in FCS that I like for next year include Delaware QB Pat Devlin, Norfolk State WR Chris Bell, Villanova LT Ben Ijalana, Grambling State DE Christian Anthony, SIU CB Korey Lindsey, Hampton DT Kendrick Ellis, and SC State LT Johnny Culbreath. Keep an eye on Missouri State OG David Arkin, Richmond DT Martin Parker, and South Dakota TE London Landry as well.

No, I bought the #26 (which is what they wore when I was in college) at the 2006 FanFest and the #13 at the 2007 FanFest.AppStateAlumQC wrote:ASUMountaineer wrote:I haven't been able to locate the link from before the season. I wanted to get one from the online auction last year (the throwbacks--wish we wore those full time), but alas the boss (aka wife) shut that idea down with the logic that I already have two "game worn" jerseys, I don't need another one, especially at $200+.

Yeah those throwbacks last year were sweet. I was wanting to pick up one of the Homecoming jerseys on the auction this year, but being the poor teacher that I am I'm going to have to wait (got to renew those season tickets). Yeah 200+ is a lot of money, there's actually a game worn white jersey being sold online right now. AE's Homecoming jersey from this year sold for $1200 on the auction But what a great pickup that LeGree jersey was!

Re: Mark Legree... APP ST.
Yeah no doubt. The first year they sold the jerseys (2006) I was one of the first 20 they let in to the "Surplus Sale." People were lined up outside of the gated area. I found a white one like the #26, but it was #15 (this was when Trey was the heir apparent). A guy outside the fence called me over and offered me $100 for the #15 jersey. I said sure, and found the #26. The girls ringing them up rang the jerseys up for $10 each (they should have been $30 each). So, not only did I get a good jersey for $10, but I made $90 and Trey didn't see much action that season.AppStateAlumQC wrote:Yeah those throwbacks last year were sweet. The #13 was a number I had in mind the next year (2007) just because I liked the number. I had no idea LeGree was going to be the player he was, but ever since then I've referred to him as "my boy."

Legree played poorly today... (I think I cursed the dude, sorry)
He got burned on the run several times and didn't do much in the passing game
he certainly wasn't "a force" or anything
