That wasn't the only thing they repeated ad nauseum though. If I woulda taken a shot every time they mentioned that Chase Reynolds played 8 man football in high school, well, I wouldn't have been conscious for the final two drives  .
It's annoying when somebody is telling you shit you already know over and over. I think that if you weren't a member of the fan boards and already knew all of this stuff better than the guys telling it to you it would not have been as annoying.
I agree. You have to think about it like this: Before being assigned to do the game, these ESPN guys had no clue the type of atmosphere or the level of football they were going to run into at Wash-Grizz. Even if someone told them what to expect, they wouldn't have believed it.

Their geniune aww of the situation came through as they probably believed that all of the audience at home felt the same way they did.

I'd take it as a compliement if I were a Griz fan.

The only thing I can say is it is Montana, they don't hand winter storm warnings out for just anything! However, it was not a blizzard warning which really would have received some airtime.
‎"Born in other countries, yet believing you could be happy in this, our laws acknowledge, as they should do, your right to join us in society, conforming, as I doubt not you will do, to our established rules. That these rules shall be as equal as prudential considerations will admit, will certainly be the aim of our legislatures, general and particular." --Thomas Jefferson, letter to Hugh White, 1801

Who was bitching about the weather? I saw that people were bitching about the announcers talking about it.

You and PG are a couple of real troopers. I felt you overdid on the manliness a little when you didn't at least get in the vehicles for a little warmup. Just stood out there drinkiing and tailgating for at least another hour after the game.

It was cold as a motherfucker out there on Saturday.

BTW, there ain't one of you ficlers ta;lomg abpit wjat smpw upi saw pitsode your window or how cold and blizzardy it was that spent 6 hrs. out in the **** so your perspective on it is invalid. It was a witches tit out there and 24,207 fans didn't let that stop them. You go ahead and let me know when you sit through a game like that instead of commenting about what you saw on TV or out your **** window. :thumb:
I went to a Bears game. Windchill -43. Went to ND/Northwestern game 8" of snow. I'm pretty sure I can talk about this.

You've done it twice huh? That's really fucking amazing.

The point was that the announcers were probably trying to set the picture for those at home. They were not used to it and may have come off dramatic in the telling.

That's true. Considering the cloud that's been hanging over Towson for the last 20 yrs. I'm sure you at least feel like you've been through a terrible storm everyday.

It wasn't your best work but I did get a chuckle out of your rabble rousing way.

So you've had 18 good years in the last couple decades?

I sincerely hope you will accept my apology. I just don't know what good years are when i see them. :o

I'd like to say that you just aren't on the same page with us but the fact of the matter is you don't even have a copy of the book at this point.

You never no it though. Even the local media occasionally still refers to us as Towson State. I find it humorous ESPN and Fox still know it was once State.

Actually I think they (bandle included) are honoring the teams I played on.

Glad you didn't get too offended by that...it was a backhanded compliment...or a straightforward slap in the face....not really sure to be honest...

But that description just seems so on-point. Although maybe 'retarded' is a bit harsh, because you obviously aren't... :ugeek:
